Simon! 5 month old kitten, and what a sweet little guy. Emails to waitlist out tonight! š„°š„°ā¤ļø
This special girl is #3, and although things can change, she will likely be the one who stays to allow her mom Raven to take her well earned retirement. She is unique, born almost black (but has to be a brown or silver tabby), she has an inherent colour darkness I have genuinely never seen in any of my kittens previously. It is a bit hard to see on photos, but in person the contrast with her sister is very obvious. I look forward to seeing how that may or may not develop as she matures.
#2! This seal mink boy has the most exquisite ear set. Rest assured, as kittens age, their eyes do look normal. It is not a breed trait, rather a trait of kittens. Certainly more noticeable in those with large or prominent eyes. These will in time transition to aqua like other mink kitties!
Weāve been keeping 4 secrets. This is the first one. Heās a cream lynx point. Canāt wait till his bright blue eyes get their chance to sparkle ā¤ļø Keep your eyes peeled for #2!
Some great news! Simon has been cleared for his new home! The murmur that wasnāt there; and then was, disappeared after his second vet check and our Cardiac vet ALSO cleared him with no murmur. Very grateful!
He will be made available to our ever patient waitlist. Emails heading out tomorrow(feel free to check in by DM if you havenāt heard from me in a while).
He will be available, neutered, microchipped, 3 vaccines, 2 year congenital health guarantee and 6 year HCM health guarantee(as all our kittens have had for a few years now). Along with letter from our cardiac vet confirming no murmur found in about 2 weeks time.
If you get an email from me and need a refresher on what to expect, please head over the the website and the āwhat to expectā page.
Sent in by Hankās loving family. The curly crew. Hank(formerly Harry of the HP litter) has settled in with his new best friend Abbi! What a pair. Short video in comments! ā¤ļø
This weekend was rough for many reasons. But the saving grace was the arrival of this incredible girl. She is out of our boy PureX When Skies Are Grey and we are so grateful to be able to have those lines return.
Please welcome Lady! Meikai Luck Be a Lady of PureX. Although, āpopcornā might be a better moniker for this flirty girl. Chattiest kitten Iāve had in a long while. She has lots of big feelings and wants to tell me all about them.
For anyone that I havenāt responded to this weekend, please note I was driving 16 hour days Friday and Monday, back at work today. Will respond this evening!
Itās almost show weekend! Ruby is juuuuust barely (a few days) old enough to join in. PureX Ruby Tuesday, sheās kind of a looker donāt ya think? ā¤ļøā¤ļøš„°
š¶Hello my name is Simon and I like to do draw-ringsāš¶ Simon has just had a bunch of bad luck. Poor guy had an umbilical hernia at birth and we had it surgically repaired at his neuter. The vet checked him pre-surgery and found his vitals, including his heart to be just fine. Then- 3 days later at vaccine day, another vet heard a minor murmur. Definitely not a common presentation. These types of minor stage murmurs can even be common in kittens(we have had just one present with a murmur in the last 8 years), but incidental murmurs can mean nothing. Even when you do everything right, strange things still happen. Heās scheduled for an echo with our Vet as soon as they can squeeze us in to help us learn more. He is even more GORGEOUS in person. Beautiful ear set and his eyes are going to turn heads(they will be Aqua in the end). We are hopeful it will be a blip in his life story and the doctor will clear him for a new family. In the mean time please enjoy his pretty-ness with me. ā¤ļø
Itās picture day/weekend! First up is the little ham, Alvin. Enjoy some cute posesā¦. Canāt wait to see his coat return in the coming months!
We have a BIG announcement. In June we will be welcoming a new King to our fold, so that Billy can take his well earned retirement. Very grateful to Kyndl at Wyld Rex for letting us scoop up this incredible boy.
Rider (presently Willie- but needless to say we canāt have a Billy and a Willie) will bring in some terrific diversity ( health tested as well) while also staying structurally in line with the standard.
And though it has absolutely nothing to do with anything other than vanity(excitement for something new) he is Solid! Which means we will have even more diversity of colour as we will have significantly less tabbies. š
Who doesnāt love some update pictures? Formerly Tammy(from the Last of Us litter) and Rigatoni (from the noodles!)
Last but not least our little guy, Theodore. A blue eyed white! He can hear with the best of them. Occasionally it happens and though we believe heās masking seal mink, his eyes are most definitely blue, not aqua!
Didnāt think I would leave Sunday out of the picture day fun did you? This blue eyed beauty has a super fun previous adopter home in store!
Whoās that? Itās Ruby! (Aka of Ruby And Sunday the two girls from Duckie and Billy)
Next is Simon, this guy would likely be a good choice for a premiership/alter show cat. He has a hernia that will be repaired at the same time as his neuter and that is the only reason he isnāt staying. Sometimes those things just happen and have nothing to do with genetics. But sometimes they do and there is no test to determine, so we always err on the side of caution. Even if it means sending this scrumptious boy to a lucky pet home. hard to tell right now but he will also have Aqua coloured eyes. Making him an even more lovely kitten ā¤ļø He will be available to the waitlist after first vet visit next weekend with heavy preference for a premiership/alter show home in Canada or the US.
Formally introducing the chipmunks (aka Lotus and Billy babies!) first up is Alvin! As you can see heās in the middle of his kitten molt. He will have very luxurious curls as an adult. A sweet easygoing but occasionally zaney little guy. These three musical maestros will be available to waitlisters after they pass first vet visits next weekend (remember they are not going home until 16 weeks! Still a couple of months away)
Do we have any waitlisters in Canada or the USA that would specifically be interested in a premiership/alter cat for the show ring? We do not have different prices for pet or show homes, we just have a lovely boy who needs to be neutered due to a umbilical hernia(that will be repaired at the same time as his neuter with us. He is GORGEOUS and would likely do well for some lucky person. Hes only 8 weeks this weekend- not available to go home until 16 weeks, but wanted to float the option to our patient homes. :) Updating pictures soon, but he's the middle seal mink boy and will have beautiful aqua eyes to boot!
Patzu, Sheeta and Muska (now Charlie, Willow and Peanut) are celebrating their 2nd birthday today. ā¤ļø I live for update pictures. Always feel free to send them, on a birthday or any day!
With love from Harry, Ron and Herman ā¤ļø All of our pet kittens make a $100 donation to Rescue Siamese - a dedicated long time rescue here in Winnipeg. Check out to make a donation today!
First vet check for Duckie babies and went off with flying colours. Both of these babies are spoken for. ā¤ļø devonsofinstagram
The boys had their last vet check yesterday. 3 sets of vaccines, 4 vet exams, microchip, neutered and excited to go home to new families this weekend. Please see previous two posts if you have applied for the waitlist! -
Ok, this might be long. TLDR(Too Long Didn't Read) summary is at the bottom...
For 10 years this year, our waitlist has been something I have kept, and preferred, for a variety of reasons, over other options, even those touted by breeder friends. Never..... ever.... have I had anywhere close to this level of non-replies. less than 5 percent. In the past it was well over 50 percent.
Never before in the history of my cattery have I had a kitten still available within a week of when they were ready to go home.
Something changed. It dawned on me that it may be an email issue, as it seemed to be defaulting to peoples junk/spam when it hadn't in previous years. Turns out - it was in fact an email issue. I spoke with GoDaddy(who runs the email) and to make a long story short, the email name servers were what was causing the problem. I DID send out another email to the most recent bunch of people I had emailed but NOT the colossal amount I had emailed in the last 12 months (the LEAST amount of time this problem has been ongoing according to IT help).
So what does this mean? I have already sent out, literally dozens of personalized emails, if not in the couple hundred, during that time responding to waitlist inquires, checking in with people etc. I CANNOT and do not have the bandwidth(mental) or time to go back and do it all over again.
TLDR: What this means, is that aside from the recent waitlist(say Jan 2023 - Feb 2024) we are starting FRESH- for the first time ever.
With a small caveat---- anyone who has applied previously is welcome to make note in a new application(or email) and I will search to find the original app/communication.
In addition to my sweet boy Herman below, who does have a couple interested, but not yet confirmed, I will have 2-3 kittens coming up available in the next month or two.
So if you are interested(check out our new cover photo for a sneak peak at the kittens that may be available soon) please submit an application via our website. Please make sure to read What to Expect and any relevant FAQ's while you are there.
And then there was one!
Sweet Herman as mentioned is the last of his brothers. Itās my fault in part. Iāve been lackadaisical in sending out emails. But back at it tomorrow! If you are a **waitlister or previous adopter** and wanting to bring this guy home- send me an email! The Harry Potter litter will be ready for new homes in just under 2 weeks. Heās a softer personality to his brothers and will also have a plush curly coat as an adult. Sweetness galore.
Ravens babies are less than a couple of weeks away from heading to their new homes. Iāll admit, Iāve been a little lazy sending emails to waitlist about the last one. Herman is a bit of a softer personality to his siblings- until he realizes that you have pets to give. he LOVES pets. And toys. And other cats. Tomorrow we will go through the more current 2022 onward wait list. I know he will be the perfect baby for someone out there. But until then, Iām ok with the extra sweetness all to myself. (Yes Ron has a piece of fluff on his face in this photo)
Did you guys know we have sent out more than 12 emails to waitlisters over the last two weeks? All who responded as wanting to remain on the list as recently as March when we checked in with everyone who had applied and was approved between 2019 and 2022.
Weāve recieved just TWO responses, both by lovely families who are not able to bring these fellows home this time around.
Unfortunately, without a response, we will be removing all of those people from the list. It is a large undertaking keeping peopleās information and preferences for years in most cases, touching base when their time might be in the next 6 -8 months to see if they are still interested and then effectively being ghosted(though i give the benefit of the doubt and assume they are not intending to waste time or effort). Because most fill out very detailed applications with all kinds of stories and hopes for a new family member.
This is why some breeders require a deposit to even be on the list, or, who open to applications only when kittens are available. This is not a practice i would prefer, and i will never take deposits for a waitlist. But please be considerate if youve indicated your interest, and something has changed, please let us know, and respond to the email.
With that said- that means we will move on to newer applications from 2022 forward. Remember to check your junk and spam folders as well as your inbox, and if you think youāve been missed and recieved a checkin email in the spring but no offer for one of these boys, send me a message.
Sincerely, Meghan (but also Ron and Herman who are eagerly awaiting their very own families to play, wrestle and snuggle)

So I forgot to give Duckie a formal brag from our September Twin Cities show. I could have sworn I wrote that post! But in any case we were very proud to make 7/8 finals and she placed 4th cat in show! Video below has a lovely overview. She placed 2,3,4,4,4,5 and 9th!
Just the cutest little guy. 2021 was not the best year Iāve had. In fact, save for a couple things and one very serendipitous meeting I would have rather just skipped the whole thing. But kittens help. #devonrex #devonrexkitten #silvertabby #kittensofinstagram
