Welcome Home Marlin Received a call from Marlin’s owner that he has escaped and has not been seen for 4 days. I went there and did a drag making a circle around his home.I found it to be very wet behind his house and I figured he has lost his scent in the water. So I dragged trying to find a dry way back home but there really wasn’t much dry ground. I was hoping he would find the scent trail I made along the road and in neighbors yards. It took a few days then we finally got a sighting . I went and set a trap and waited for him to show up but didn’t get any results. Then we got another sighting with video confirming it was him. So I moved the trap to that location and did some dragging in the yard . Sure enough a cat came and I thought it was him it went into the trap. The cat then turned around before stepping on the trigger . I sent the owner a picture and she said it was not him. I was on my way to change the trap so I decided to just put the bigger one there anyway . Marlin was showing up on the cameras at 3:00 am and the other cat was there at 1:30am. I was hoping Marlin wasn’t aware of the daylight savings time and show up at 4:00am 🤦♂️. Thank god he didn’t and he ship at 2:40am and went right in the trap. I got there as soon as I could and was able to get the trap mostly into my back seat . He meowed and meowed telling me about his adventures on the way to his house . Well stay tuned my phone has been exploding with lost pet calls more exciting adventures ahead .

The curious case of Mick Jagger. If ever a dog needed help finding his way out of the woods it is this guy.First a little history on Mick. He was a research lab test subject 🤬 who was rescued by a group of angels. Freagles rehabilitation for research dogs who are done being tortured! ( don’t even try to explain why it’s necessary it won’t end well for you)🤬. Anyway this poor boy is 3 and never been outside.Doesn’t know what it’s like to be loved or be happy look at his face. So when asked if I would help I couldn’t say no even though it’s way farther than I travel.Putnam valley NY specifically Granite Mountain preserve here I come. Thank you to the preservation for allowing me to go in at night and off trail to find this lost soul.So Mick was with his foster when she tripped and Mick escaped wearing his leash.So I get there and this is the most uninhabitable place I’ve ever searched. It is 200ft to 900 ft elevation loose rocks and open enough to go almost anywhere in the reservation.It’s hot no one except the hero of this story Chrisand myself are out here.So any information I get I will need to follow up on. The information was he was heard barking at 4:30 am by two different witnesses.They said it sounds like he was where two trails meet so that’s where I started.I thought it was right up a hill which turned into several hills🤦♂️just getting there was a challenge. Finally get there just turned dark so I set up a listening post and a camera. I then searched along the entire red trail no sign of him. Note this is where I walk through the largest spider web and spider! Do you see the size of that thing it’s 40 ft up and I can see it.Then I’m at 90 ft elevation and I hear coyotes at about 700 ft. So I start to follow them down and down. The video is stitched together two different recordings of them howling.One at 500 ft then when you hear me say their closer we are at 200 feet in the parking lot. I followed them all the way
Lost dog Guilford 0.4 miles from my home should be easy right? Joey ran off from the sitters house and down a cliff then down the road. A little chihuahua brown and white was going to be a challenge he can hide anywhere. I decided to go home and get the e-bike so I could ride up and down the street to try to spot him. I didn’t have any idea the e-bike may have been the thing that saves this dogs life. As I’m riding along listening and looking I spotted him between two trucks at the shredder company. I had the sitter bring his brother and the other dog he knows to the area. He didn’t respond so I had Ann bring me the car and trap and we set it up with cameras. After walking the other dogs there with no response I thought maybe he is on the run. I went back to where the fence was and I could now see he easily could have left without us seeing him. Back on patrol with the bike searching along the marsh hoping to see him. I didn’t see him but just as I was turning around some kids asked if I was looking for a dog. Yes I said and they described Joey and said I just passed where he was . With the help of their mom and some other neighbors he was spotted. There he goes they said and he was off and running. He ran into the fields behind Calvin leet school and was going full speed away from us. I quickly chased him down on the bike and got him turned around. He was running along the marsh back to everyone watching which was about ten people by now. Yes I thought he is running right to the sitter and his brother snap that was easy. Nope! He ran right by and back to the field where we did a complete lap around the outside of the fields. He must be tired but no he went around again with me steering him back to the sitter. Then he decided to run up the road on the road into a yard. I again got him turned back to the school down the road and into a yard. He tried to go back into the marsh and a neighbor cut him off back to the fields. So I chased him some more he is getti
Here is the drag video!! This video will show you how to drag its very easy. Drag everywhere you search and leave scent markers. Drag near thick brush and other hiding places also they need water everyday. Do a complete circle around your house then trails like a wagon wheel to your house. Or if lost away from home then drag and leave items where you can safely recover it. Use cameras to watch items at night that you have dragged. Make trails during the day and search at night with bright spotlight or flashlight. Do NoT put any food out except dry food one handful only also a water bowl with water from home. Our water has different Oder and taste our pets can smell and taste the difference.Drag over same area if it rains or you get no results.If nothing for 3 days then drag further away try to find a safe place to recover the pet and set up a trail camera. Chase away other outdoor and feral cats they will chase your cat away so your cat can come home.🙂
A little R&R thanks to my best bud Jeff we went to see our favorite team!! And the seats were close enough to get in trouble for banging the glass. Seeing our favorite players up close kicking but was awesome!🙂
So while I was checking out the boat launch in Madison I found a dog running down the road. I followed her for about a 1/4 mile or so heading away from her home . She stopped to say hi to some people that live on the street then she jumped into my car for treats. I found out where she lived and her name is Toni. I gave her a ride home and a neighbor took her while he tried to contact the owner. Sometimes you just have to be in the right place at the right time.🙂

Stella had a great day this is just a short video of her but she ran all day.Coming off her pain medication she is showing signs of the same beast she was before her surgery. We are still waiting for biopsy results and will start the cancer treatment after counseling with doctors.Thank you to everyone following and supporting us! Stella is already tracking animals a game she loves playing.She may be searching for lost pets again someday who knows.🤷♂️🙂

Well you asked for more adventures and Oliver decided to give us one.Second day in a row we got a lost puppy call in Guilford the first call took a few hours.This call turned out to be a little more difficult do to the location, it took dog drone and myself tracking to find him.Thanks to the report around 2:30 Oliver was running through yards and into the weeds again I was able to track him.Do to fences and turrane I was able to figure out how he was getting from sighting to sighting. I was actually standing on a hill drinking water deciding to go left or right when I heard jingle jingle.I grabbed my keys thinking it was me and again jingle jingle.I looked and ten feet away was Oliver we startled each other and he started walking away.I called owners and followed him towards them and he was captured.I said 17 hrs but it took 21 hrs to be exact in case your keeping score.😂😂..Oliver was giving me kisses during the photo op after the capture.Check for the post for some reason I can’t put videos and pictures on same post.🤦♂️🙂🙂
Hi fans we are back with another happy adventure.I have been working on some projects so I haven’t been posting on Facebook.I will share what I’m working on soon.So tonight we got a call for help locating a lost 9 month old puppy.New to area and only in new home 2 hrs.Stella and I went out after the owner reported the dog was in backyard but ran off again.After 15 - 20 minutes on scene I was able to find her.She was tired scared and the rain was not helping her anxiety.She let me get 10 feet away crawling like a dog but that was it.I went and got Stella and returned to where I left her .I wanted her to see Stella eating treats and trusting me and it almost worked.She wagged her tail and took five steps towards us than ran back.The rescue where the dog was from was on the way so I thought best let her respond to them.And they pulled up as I was talking to the puppy with Stella.In the video I refer to them as previous owners but I think they are a rescue.Anyway I removed Stella from the area and went back behind the puppy so she will have to pass me to escape.I spent an hr talking to her I knew she wasn’t afraid of me and she was tired.We waited and she finally went to her sister and new owners and rescue people she was firmilure with.Last report she was sleeping with her sister in her new home. She has a great adventure story to tell her about in the morning and hopefully her escape was her last stunt.🤦♂️🙂
