Mabel’s pool gets gross and she’s obsessed with water so when I clean it, she right in there “helping” me. 🤣Even mild soap made her paws itchy so I started using her very gentle shampoo to clean her pool. No more irritated skin and I get to keep her pool clean for her.Stay cool today.

Cancer’s hit my home and heart frequently—Gavin, my stepfather, my grandfather—three of my army of angels. I often joke that Mabel’s me in a dog's body. Well, relaxing doesn't come naturally to either of us. But, a new walking path where we can enjoy a stroll together, on the weekend, in the summer is cause for some celebration grass sitting with my girl.

Lately, it seems that no matter how early we get to the park on the weekends, there are too many dogs for my liking. However, on Saturday, I saw six, yes, six dogs, and I was the bestest, goodest girl. Mom even let me belly flop, twerk, and roll in a giant mud puddle to celebrate.Then I got to play in the hose (get a bath) and help mom re-plant mint and lay mulch. Ok, so digging next to her and investigating every handful of pine bark she tossed was more fun for me than her, so she gave me some snacks for being a good girl again. I've never taken scent work classes but I absolutely LOVE playing nose and find games at home and out-and-about. It's my reminder that my dog doesn’t need fancy or elaborate to feel good and do dog stuff.
