I thought I’d share my personal walking gear. Getting out and moving makes Mabel and me very happy, even when we have to shorten our walks because, well, brrrr.

Mabel’s pool gets gross and she’s obsessed with water so when I clean it, she right in there “helping” me. 🤣Even mild soap made her paws itchy so I started using her very gentle shampoo to clean her pool. No more irritated skin and I get to keep her pool clean for her.Stay cool today.

I don’t often struggle to find words, but @themikebyrnes_'s video testimonial featuring shelter dogs leaves me a blubbering mess. He volunteers at secondchanceanimals.org and uses his Bark Pouch affiliate account to give back to homeless dogs even more. Cancer’s hit my home and heart frequently—Gavin, my stepfather, my grandfather—three of my army of angels. Right now, two people I know and love in real life are navigating a cancer journey with dogs I know and love in real life.It’s never easy. It always hurts. But @livelikeroofoundation is there for support in so many ways. I don't know Nocci personally, but knowing we’re a tiny part of brightening her day (and her human’s) brightens my day. Sending love and light that Nocci has as many easy and joy-filled days ahead as possible.

I often joke that Mabel’s me in a dog's body. Well, relaxing doesn't come naturally to either of us. But, a new walking path where we can enjoy a stroll together, on the weekend, in the summer is cause for some celebration grass sitting with my girl.
