Woohoo! Bazzley is home from the hospital and is soaking up lots of spoiling and love. He is comfortable although not a fan of the cone. (Who is?) A more comfortable one has been ordered.
His bill came to $3,342.00 I paid $1500.00 down on it today. As the funds come in, I will continue to pay off the balance.
I want to give a Huge Shout Out to the Northridge Veterinary Hospital, Wichita KS for their professionalism, kindness, and rescue friendliness. They accepted our 501c3, and are allowing us to make payments. In today's world of scammers, and payment defaults, this is very rare. I am grateful.

Big sigh of relief! Surgery was long, but it is over. Now he just has to heal. Thanks to so many of you, we almost have his bill covered.
Bazzley is out of surgery and waking up. The bones had tried to heal so they think his leg has been like that for a while. The Doctor was able to get them lined up and he should have a full recovery. They will keep him overnight and will send an update this evening.

So finally the day comes after the long weekend that we can call the orthopedic surgeons that were suggested and hopefully get Bazzley set up for surgery to fix his broken leg. Of course we will also get the estimate for how much it's going to cost. I pray it is not cost prohibitive. We have roughly $1,000 in the bank, and I know we are looking at much more than that to fix his leg. So I'm begging and pleading, can our Min Pin family help Us by donating any dollar amount. So far we have raised $200 toward his care.

Welcome little Bazzley to MPMR! We pulled him out of the Wichita Ks shelter. They suspected he had a broken front leg. He was seen by our vet this afternoon, and radiographs confirmed the break. He now has it splinted to give the leg some stability and has pain medication. We will be calling on Tuesday (long weekend) to several orthopedic veterinary surgeons to get the details on fixing his leg. We spent over $700 today for exams, radiographs, vaccines, Heartworm test f***l, etc....
Neuter will be done later, his leg is a priority. Well, you know what I am headed... Begging. I am estimating we will be given estimates in the several thousand dollar range. (Yes I know amputation would be so much cheaper but if at all possible we would like to save his leg.) He is a young dog, about 3 or 4 years old. If we can save his leg we are going to certainly try.
So I am asking for donations. Any amount will help. Every dollar adds up to success.

Sattin was recently adopted, and it's not working out for her at her new home so she is coming back to rescue.

**The first step to adopting from MO Min Pin Rescue is to complete the online adoption application. A good vet reference and heartworm prevention are required.

We do not arrange transport, and you will be responsible for coming to us to get your dog.

Sattin is about 15 years old (best guess). She currently weighs about 11 pounds, but she is on the thin side. She recently had a much-needed dental and is thriving after the removal of her rotting teeth! Her bloodwork was fine.

She is about 95% potty trained, sleeps all night, and a lot of the day. Gets along with her foster's dogs, and is good around her 18-month-old granddaughter. The granddaughter is very gentle with her. Sattin loves her food, eats great, and loves treats. Don't know about cats, but we doubt she would bother them. She loves the back yard and sunshine/warmth, and loves a blanket to hide her face under. She sees pretty good, not sure about her hearing.
Sattin has been fully vetted and is in pretty good shape for her age! She will make someone a great companion. She is located in the St. Louis area.
