Thank you to our sponsors who generously helped our golf outing to be a great success! And Tom, Wisconsin Distributors and Frank Beverage Company for donating our two huge raffles!
Our volunteers are outstanding, Holly N., Valerie, Sherry Ann, Sherlyn, Michael and Cyndi, Jon and Bethany, Kathy, Daniel and Paula, Peggy and Chris. We did it! We exceeded our goal all because of your commitment to APOL.
Our participants had a really fun time and promised to come back next year. The weather was perfect and the course was in excellent condition. Thank you Mark Young for the use of Krueger Haskell Golf Course!
The buffet lunch was awesome! Thank you Andie for your hospitality and help. You Rock!
Thank you to all of our golfers who, without you, we wouldn’t have succeeded in our outcome. It was a happy reunion for all involved. Our fosters and forever fosters are grateful for your commitment.

Nala is healing well, resting after her breakfast. Adorable little munchkin will be up for adoption soon, with her bonded brother Gizzy.

We are sure many of you remember our intake of Nala and Gizmo in January. They are a bonded pair, Nala is a 10 year old Yorkie, Gizmo is an 8 year old Yorkie mix.
We waited 6 weeks to obtain their vetting records in order to not over vaccinate them. With no vetting background available to us or their previous owner, we did have them vaccinated. Nala was in heat and it was determined at that time she also had a urinary infection that was treated for a full 30 days, keeping her spay at bay until the end of March. Finally we were able to have her spay on March 27th. At that time the surgeon found several mammary tumors. We couldn’t let this go, on April 11th, Nala had her surgery to remove the chains of cysts.
We will not know the results of the histopathology report for 7-10 days.
Rest assured she is doing well, resting and leaving her surgery site alone. She has gone through too much for a petite girl. Especially in a new environment.
Gizmo came with us to Madison when we have picked up Nala from both surgeries. She relies on him to comfort her. That is Love. That is why we will keep them a bonded pair when the time comes for their adoption.

Winnie found the home of her dreams. She is very loved and spoiled. Rightfully so. She deserves the best life, full of love and humans who are always playing with her.

Nala and Gizmo are finally comfortable in their new halfway home. Able to run free and enjoy themselves.

HappYest New Year to all my friends, family and followers. May 2024 bring you all of your wants and wishes. We are celebrating our 10th year here at A Promise of Love. 10 years of pulling pups, making them healthy again and adopting them to some of the greatest families on earth. It is with great love to announce the adoption of our Belle! Belle truly is loved and cared for by loving parents and a human brother. They drove hundreds of miles to adopt her and it was love at first sight. She will be the only pup in the home and already is spoiled, getting all the attention and snuggles she so desperately needs. Congratulations to Dave, Nancy and Elliott.

Had to share this darling video of Riggs. He was adopted to the most wonderful and loving home last year. I can feel his love and happiness . 💜💜💜💜💜

Gianny and I would like to give a huge thanks to Wrapped in Love for the beautiful adoption blankets(Sahara and Peggy Rhow) and the amazing belly bands. Our belly bands were wearing out so now we can replace them! What an awesome donation to receive. We are looking at a new adoption soon. One of these beautiful blankets will go with him. HappYest 7th Birthday Scooter!

Lovely day for a walkabout. Carson and Scooter had a nice afternoon in Balmy Beloit. Snow melted overnight and it was 57’ today. Carson loves to follow Scooter and I. He needs us to be in the lead!

Beckett and Eko are wishing everyone a Blessed Thanksgiving.

A shoutout to everyone that participated in our First Annual Dog Dayz Golf Outing, from our awesome volunteers, the perfect golf course(Krueger Haskell Golf Course) to our 110 golfers, you all are amazing! In the 8.5 years of being a non profit, we had the second highest profit intake. What fun we all had, especially the fun games on several holes. Special thanks to Mark Young, director of the course, Jenni from Coaches bar and grill in the clubhouse, and all the employees that made our event happen! You can bet we will be back again next year with new games and prizes. If not for our corporate sponsors, we wouldn’t have been able to pull off this awesome event. The foster pups thank you, present and future. A whole lot of vetting is now more available. Thank you NBC15. Your live broadcast has brought in several donations! Curt and Tim, we’ll be calling in you soon!

Hippity hop Hooray! I had my first long walk with mommy and my sister Nikki. I was so excited I almost tipped over on my wheels. We walked at least a mile and the smells were delicious. I am trying to be patient waiting for my doctor. It’s my yearly exam today . Mommy thinks I have another bladder infection! Yup, I do. Three weeks of antibiotics for me. Boo Hoo. Mommy will take good care of me. Love ❤️ ~Scooter~

A Happy December 1st video! This is Eko and Angel getting their early morning play session in. They are my foster siblings and up for Adoption. Angel will be put up on our website soon, she finally gets her spay next Tuesday and will be ready for her forever home on December 14th.
