We are a husband and wife team who exclusively board small dogs in our own home while you're away. We are licensed by DCC and are fully insured. As chihuahua owners (parents?) we found it impossible to find doggy boarding locally where little ‘uns wouldn’t be placed with larger dogs. So in early 2017 we decided to start a fully lic

ensed and insured professional doggy day care and boarding service specifically for small/toy breeds. So if you are going on holiday, moving house, or needing someone to take care of your new puppy while you’re at work we will ensure they get all the love and attention they need to have a great time!

Our Story

Based in Consett, County Durham, Tiny Paws Doggy Breaks offered residential dog boarding and day care exclusively for small dogs. In summer 2019 we called a halt to it due to increased fees and paperwork imposed by our local council. We miss the ‘job’ and hope to open again in the future but for now we are content to post doggy advice and funny posts about amazing pooches! Our history: As chihuahua owners (parents?) we found it impossible to find doggy boarding locally where little ‘uns wouldn’t be placed with larger dogs. So in early 2017 we decided to start a fully licensed and insured professional doggy day care and boarding service specifically for small/toy breeds.
