I don't know why I called him Beef. It just fits.

There will be nights when he's not in the backyard of the Manor, and I will be calling him: "Beef! Beeeeeeef!"
..which is a very funny thing to hear the neighborhood vegan calling, or so I'm told.
.. and it reminds me of when my little sister and I were kids. We lived in colorado, and we had taken in a german shepherd named Bark.

Our family went to visit Grandma in California, and left Uncle Craig to housesit and mind the menagerie.

Uncle Craig worked a late shift at his job, and would get home in the wee hours of the morning.

He came from work one night and couldn't find Bark. He walked the neighborhood for hours, yelling "Bark! Bark! Bark!".

i think of that story every time I'm calling Beef.
