So remember little Serendipity, our car engine rescue from Memorial Day?

The night I posted her on social media, I got a text from a previous adopter.

"Do you still have that kitten?" she asked.

"Why, yes - are you calling dibs?" I replied, half-jokingly.

A few weeks later, after Serendipity had recovered from her spay, I delivered her to her new home.

Her older brother, adopted a few years ago, had not historically done well with other cats in the house, so the adopter and I talked at length before deciding to see how the resident cat would do with a baby sister.

Well, it looks like now it's official. The kitties have become fast friends.

Are you guys ready for the best part of the story?

The previously adopted cat? FENDER! A car engine rescue from several years earlier. His momma saw Serendipity's car engine story and knew it was meant to be.

Serendipity, indeed. 💜
