So much for credit unions being different than banks. Back in October I was in the hospital for what turned out to be kidney cancer and had a kidney removed. I was late on my mortgage payment so I was charged a late fee of $55.16. I politely asked RBFCU to reverse the late charge. I was told that they cannot reverse charges unless it is a bank error. I don't know why you should rethink your bank. They don't seem to care any more than a traditional bank.
