The nice V E T, Tahsin, gave me some antibollox and some painkillers. The codeine has dried my snotters out beautifully, and because my consultation was free and my meds discounted on the VIP plan, mum also bought me a silly ball. She only nearly lost two fingers trying to position it appropriately in my mouth before she gave up.
Mum wants to give me a shout out for doing some superb breed advocacy on my past two vet visits. I have sat and waited calmly, allowed strange dogs and new people to greet me, and I even wanted to give Tahsin some SNOGGIES after I did some tricks for him (I did bark at him at first, but he tapped on the car window and surprised me, and he does have a beard - mum is very proud of how I turned my behaviour around as soon as I was out of the car).
With and in the news, I am an example of how training and discipline can help a doggo to become one you can trust in these situations, mostly! Banning breeds is never the answer - training, education and tighter breeding regulation would do far more good

I woke mum and dad up by wandering around the bedroom at 3am and trying to clear my throat, and wiping my nose on mum’s towel and weighted blanket. It was much better when the apes let me under the covers so I could breath in my own huff, but mum is taking me to see my friends at because I’ve been coughing and snotting for a week now 😢 and she says the day-glo green go-faster stripes I’m leaving on all her clothes aren’t cool.

She doesn’t give a s**t about fireworks, but I just winced (all over shooting pains and stomach cramp) and she did a HECKIN CONCERN. She only reacted to some fireworks earlier because I was sitting nearby - she came and put her paws over me 😭 she DO A PROTEC FOR MAMA.

Somebody has a cold. And if I thought snot candles on children were grim, I have to say that Molly is taking it to a whole new level, and is also refusing to have her nose wiped, or learn to blow it! Her nose can only be wiped on my clothes or bed linen - if I go near her with a tissue she thinks I’m trying to suffocate her 🙄

This charity is so special to us, not only because the people behind it are super lovely and do such wonderful work rescuing and rehoming little chi's in need, but also because without them, precious little Lily would never have entered our lives. Her tiny (but mighty!) presence is something we are eternally grateful for. 🥰
