Announcement -

All painting orders going forward will now have a 50% deposit. Unfortunately in the past few weeks I’ve had 3 different customers that have either read and ignored my messages or in some cases blocked me after I’ve completed their paintings.

Not only is it my time that’s been wasted, it’s very upsetting. My paintings are my passion, and my livelihood. Small business around the world are struggling, and it means a lot to small business owners when people choose to support them, but to be treated so unfairly after work has been completed is just wrong.

99% of my customers are amazing, but unfortunately it’s the few ruin it for the many. And I hope that those genuine customers will not have a problem paying a higher deposit going forward.

In 2019, whilst recovering from my wrist operation, painting this elephant with my Grandads watercolour paints that changed my life. I posted it on my personal Facebook and got a commission to paint a dog in the same style and then BJA was created. Since then, I’ve sold paintings around the world, and made my passion my career.

As a young girl he taught me to draw, and then to paint, taking me to Whitstable harbour to paint the boats and teaching me that seagulls at the beach ‘don’t look like McDonald’s signs in the sky’.
Today is 9 years since he passed, and without him my career as an artist would not have been possible. His passion was inspiring, and quite literally gave me the tools to pursue my dreams. I wish he was still here to see what I’ve achieved, and I hope he looks down is proud.

To my grandad, my inspiration- I miss you, I love you 💜

My heart has been breaking for XL bully owners since the news was announced last week.
I’ve seen so much support in the dog community for these gorgeous dogs and the future of this beautiful breed
