Hannah has earned her wings. This Princess and I had many adventures together over the years. She spent the last 5-years with a delightful family, joining them at work every day. She touched the heart of everyone she met. The Monster Osteo had her and her family put her needs first. She is pain free now. Say Hi to your pal Big Al for me darling.

Much loved and dearly adored. It took about a year in the program to find her Forever Family as it just wasn’t working with the first family that wanted her. This is because she belonged to someone else. When she was finally home it was a huge love fest for the rest of her life. Godspeed Whiskey.

Malfoy was already a senior dog when we adopted him, almost ten years old. At first he was a playmate for Johnny Guitar who was the same age. They loved to run and play fight in the back yard. After Johnny passed away last year, Malfoy settled into the role of only dog. He was very easy-going and loved his walks, MilkBones and squeaky toys. We spoiled him rotten and made sure his final years were happy and comfortable.

Bart is a lucky hound. He has a cool place in Houston and spends his weekends out in the country at their ranch. We love getting updates on our FastK9’s Alumni. ❤️❤️❤️

Another Angel earned his Wings today. His Mom, Crystal writes:

I knew it would be coming, I just didn't know it would be so soon (especially after losing Utah just 3 months ago). Today at 6 we will be saying goodbye to Camden. It's time.

Cat Caldwell trusted me with this blonde boy after losing our beloved Bob. He was the stakes racer extraordinaire, stud dog, and just a big handsome, loveable boy. From the day we brought Perseus home, he was his best friend. A member of the blonde squad with Bella. He was always my shadow. I moved, he followed. He was always on the bed and had to touch you, whether it was a paw or laying his head on you.

He would have been 13 the end of October. We had him longer than were probably even worthy of. And I'm not gonna lie, they all hurt but losing both my boys in 3 months, and knowing this may be my last greyhound because of the end of racing, it's simply devastating. My heart is shattered. I'm numb. I have only known 1 week without a grey in my house since 95.

Oh my sweet, sweet man. I will miss you so much. I just don't have any more words.

She was such a super soft loving girl. She would beg for my attention at the farm when I would go visit one of my namesake hounds. I picked her up once to go into adoption only to be called as they had given me the wrong hound. I cried driving her back to the farm, promising her I would be back for her. Raider was 7-years old when Robbie adopted her. Thank you Robbie for trusting me when I said you would not regret taking her sight-unseen. Raider was one of those rare perfect hounds.

You were loved your entire life Princess.
Your Mom & Dad, Judy & Scott Layton, did everything they could in your best interest. Here is what they said:

Our princess Guinness moved on to eternal rest on Tuesday, April 26th, 2022. She was at most times demure but occasionally she could be mischievous and fun loving, with no ill intent. She was loving, stingy with her kisses, but always knew when you needed one most. Guinness was kind, well behaved, not a beggar (most of the time), only barked when she was happy, never aggressive towards guests, felt like everything was hers (including the house, i.e. “The big kennel”) a wonderful friend to her sissy Kisses, who gave her confidence and just the best greyhound anyone could be blessed with. We had a nickname for her, a bit long winded, but she was our Pink Toed Pretty Precious Perfect Prancing Princess. We will miss her greatly. She touched our lives for almost twelve years and many others. She will always be loved, mourned for some time and appreciated. This kind of loss is difficult, but life goes on. We know that some day, when the end comes for us, she will be waiting there to offer her love. Rest in peace Guinness Layton. We love you now and forever.
We love and appreciate all of our friends and family for their support and condolences. We realize that the loss of Guinness has affected many of those who knew her. Extended gratitude to Cat Caldwell for her efforts to home such a great girl and great thanks to the crew at Family Animal Hospital of Friendswood. Without their help, Guinness would have left us much sooner. Thank you to Cat, Doc Zoo, Doc Romano and the wonderful hospital staff that nursed Guinness to health when she desperately needed it.
