Luna! She has been here a short 3 weeks. We accomplished her basic skills but there is so much to be done. Luna while amazing in training does have some defensive traits that is triggered by fear.

She needs more socialization period but the right socialization. Luna needs to experience different environments over the next few months and learn that all of the different people and things are not there to cause stress in her life.

She can accomplish this by her owners bringing her into these environments to train. Luna is motivated by food and allowing her to earn her meals in these place will allow her to continue to progress. Yes! Earn that paycheck!

Remember dog training is life long! Not just for 3-6 weeks. They need reinforcement!

Meet June! She has been with us for a few weeks. She is such a calm and relaxed dog in training. Much different than what I normally see!

Today the main focus was going into different areas in our facility that are set up as best as we can to situations that someone would expect in a home environment. So for 20 mins June got an extra session being rewarded while I talk to my CPA about taxes 🤮

I had a great time meeting Darren Sapp who has been editing my manuscript.

I decided two years ago that I’d share my story in hopes of not only connecting with people that experienced the same challenges in life that I had but also what I did to over come. It will be filled with my time growing up to the military and then finally now.

I had tried doing this before about 9 years ago but I cared to much about what other people thought. Caring about what others think can be the single biggest thing holding anyone back next to themselves.

I look forward to sharing my experiences.

History: I pulled Maximus from a local animal shelter after he was owner surrendered. Due to being a possible Malinois Shepherd Mix I suspect he was surrendered due to the amount of energy he has.

He has his basic obedience training along with great socialization skills as well.

There is an adoption fee as well to cover his basic expenses and this will allow us to continue to pull dogs that otherwise wouldn’t have a chance. Most dogs are not adoptable due to behavior.
