They always seemed to pass me by, I never knew the reason why.
All my friends had found a home, And only I remained alone.
But finally somebody came, And spoke to me with gentle tone.
I hardly dared believe it true, Into my human's arms I flew.
Our first embrace - my heart beat fast,
A family of my own at last!

KAI (ILLINOIS)
Meet Kai, a sweet 15 year old, 8 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in Canton, IL.
Kai is doing well. His two foster brothers are are about 12 pounds each & Kai is about 8 pounds but he doesn't know it. He thinks he is just as big as they are and he can get a bit bossy at times. He came from a one dog household but he has made himself right at home. He enjoys plenty of power naps & really loves treats. He is pretty spry for a 15 year old with bad back knees. I'm sure he would be happy to be the center of attention in a forever home. Any questions please email foster mom at [email protected]

🐾Leo pupdate🐾

Remember Leo, the little fluffball we rescued months ago who suffered from a collapsed trachea? Well, his coughing and respiratory symptoms have dramatically improved with meds, which he will need long term. Because of this, it is recommended his future forever home to be a calm and quiet home, so he doesn’t get too excited. Leo is crate and potty trained. He would be an amazing fit for a family with older, dog savvy kids. He also would prefer not to compete for your attention with a furry cat or dog sibling of similar size.

Welcome to rescue Macey. Macey is a 6 y/o peanut, weighing in at 8.5 pounds. Unfortunately, she recently lost use of her back legs. She is undergoing an MRI and surgery at Madison Vet Specialists this afternoon. Prayers and good thoughts for her recovery.
