Buff pair of juvies.
The pullet will be very round and full, although I think she will stay petite and within standard weight. I do not like one wing.
The cockerel is pretty cheap with her. I’m on the fence about what I see in him and if you can afford to work on wings and some toe spacing with your buff he will definitely add you some crest and deeper color. Cockerel wings and feet in comments. They are 4 months old.
Prefer local pickup or a transport service as Christmas holidays and shipping are no joke.

Hi folks,
I just want to remind you all I don’t have time or energy especially in winter to take individual pictures of chicks. If my birds aren’t good enough for you please look elsewhere. I am very transparent about the quality of my chicks and if they are pet quality or have potential to become a breeder or show bird.
None of my chickens are hatchery stock. They are all exhibition bloodlines and I breed as close to standard as possible. If you need an example of my breeders, please go to their respective albums on this page. I am more than happy to talk about the chicks and if I already have a picture I’ll share one.
I have a large, DEEP GQF brooder. It is several feet deep and stands 7 feet tall, in 4 tiers. The babies are outside in this brooder and they cuddle in the back under the heater. It is hard to go out in the dark after work and have to sort through 30 chicks just for a picture and then you leave me on read.

I am offering silkie earrings for the 3rd year. Remember, these can be customized and are all hand painted. Earrings are $25 per pair, shipping is $5 for ground and $10 for priority per box

A wonderful day at the Appalachian Bantam club!
What a pleasant surprise today! I pulled my show string out of breeding pens this fall due to losing all my show birds in the chaos following the hurricane. No one is conditioned and I really don’t go expecting to place. Seeing chicken peers, and winning Res. Champion FL was a really nice day!
One of my show birds found a new home with a junior today too. I hope she can become a pro!

Black mottled silkie pullet

This pullet is 4 months old. She has a walnut comb. 5 toes and nails per foot. She is young and still growing. Her wings are not perfect but all primaries and secondaries are currently present. I would consider them both slip. She has the sweetest personality and very tolerant of children handling her and would make a great kids bird!
The auction does have a reserve. It will start tonight(10/17/2024) and end Sunday 10/20/2024 at 6pm Eastern time.
Buyer is responsible for shipping cost. If you would like me to get you a quote just send a message with your zip code. She will ship the following Monday as long as temps are appropriate. We can try to find her a traveling companion. Or local pickup is available.
Bids start at $75 and go up in increments of $5 or $10.

These funds will go towards my damaged breeding program impacted by Hurricane Helene and my feed cost.

Silkie barn clean! Well, it’s starting to turn into a bantam barn instead! I use regal downs bedding for all my adult birds. My preferred bedding flake is fine. For waterers I use homemade nipple waterers(links for products in my Amazon shopping list!) I hope these birds get to producing some babies soon!

Any guesses what I’ve got coming?
