🎄Is your dog Christmas ready?🎄

Christmas is fast approaching are you and your dog ready for it?

Christmas is a very exciting time of year with lots of things going on which often means lots of changes for your dog like:
🐾Change of routine.
🐾Tasty food around.
🐾 Family and friends visiting.

It is best to have a plan for the big day itself!! It might be worth getting up early and taking your dog out for a long walk so that they are more relaxed for the day ahead.
Prepare something for them like a tasty frozen kong or bone to help keep them occupied so that they keep their paws off your Christmas dinner!

Most of all enjoy the big day with your four legged family member :) If you have any questions in regards to preparing your dog don't hesitate to contact me for more information :)

💔 Goodbye to Duffy the Dark Destroyer 💔

Duffy came crashing into my family by accident
and the last few months her health hasn't been 100% but sadly yesterday Duffy collapsed in the back garden and she was really struggling so very sadly decided to let her go 😢 I'm absolutely devastated 💔 she will definitely be remembered for her naughtiness especially her thievery!
She was a huge part of Taylor's Pawsitive Training and has helped rehabilitate lots of dogs working with me as a stooge dog and helping me become an ACE trainer, completing Parkour and Hoopers instructor courses too!
Saying goodbye is definitely the hardest part of owning a dog 💔
I would absolutely love to hear your Duffy stories if you have one 😊 🐾🐾🐾🐾

Take time to decompress!

Did you know that it can take up three days for your dog to fully recover from a scary experience?

If your dog has had a tough night after bonfire night it is important to give them time to decompress.
Take them on quieter walks or do enrichment activities with them as they may be more jumpy to other triggers that they may not usually be worried about.

🎆 Fireworks 🎆

5 top tips to keep your dog safe during bonfire celebrations 🎆

🔥 Walk your dog before it gets dark as there will be less chance of hearing fireworks.
🔥 Build a den or safe space where they can hide away from the windows.
🔥 Give them access to enrichment toys to help keep them entertained and help keep the calm and relaxed.
🔥 Close the curtains to help block the visuals of displays.
🔥 Play brown noise as this will help drown out the noise that fireworks make.

Displays will likely happen over the next couple of weekends so be prepared as much as possible 🐶

Puppy Adventure Workshop 😍

A fusion of obedience and teaching puppies how to navigate different obstacles!
In this workshop it dives into impulse control, game play, building focus, how to keep.our puppies entertained and general obedience skills too.
The workshop is Saturday 24th August at The Balloon Tree starting at 10am and is an hour and a half duration.
The workshop is £25 and you can book through the link in the comments 😀.
The aim of the workshop is to have fun with your puppy 🐶 building a bond and confidence moving forwards.

I am a professional dog trainer with over 16 years’ experience of working with dogs. I have always had a passion for dogs and consider myself incredibly lucky to be able to do a job I love. I am highly knowledgeable in a variety of dog training techniques, including behavioural modification techniques. I have also passed the IMDT and IMDTB accreditations.
