After losing our last two labs we put off acquiring a dog until our young children could participate in training and caring for a puppy. Four years ago the time was right and we began to investigate the best breed for our family. We had friends who had Standard Poodles that were reading dogs in the local school district and were very impressed. We looked at many breeds but the the answer was easy…

a Standard Poodle was in our future. Now that we knew what breed we needed to find a breeder. After visiting breeders we found a jewel, Shiela Thomas with Coplar Creek Standard Poodles. Shiela and her family had been raising Standard Poodles that were amazing, and she was so easy to work with. We made our deposit and signed up on her waiting list. The wait seemed long, yet it gave me an opportunity to learn from Shiela and during that time our family decided that we would like to start breeding. Shiela's female poodle Della was going to have her last litter, and we were on the list for one of the puppies. A sweet little brown girl was ours. Shiela and I co-own Jayden Rose of Coplar Creek and with a clean bill of health Jayden will give us, Bagley Creek Standard Poodles, the first litter this fall.
