Pampering Your Persnickety Pet I started volunteering 6 months ago at Bonnie L Hayes animal shelter in the cattery.
I noticed that they didn't have very many toys or beds for the animals. I had no sewing experience but I figured the cats wouldn't care if the stitches weren't perfect. They would just be happy that they have a comfy bed to sleep in and a catnip toy to play with. I started sewing on my sister's sewing machine and taught myself to sew watching youtube videos. I brought my beds and catnip toys to th
e shelter and the cats went crazy! I decided that I really enjoyed sewing and it became very relaxing for me. I got the idea to open my own etsy shop from my family who saw what I had done for the shelter. I bring new beds and fresh catnip toys to the shelter every week. It just warms my heart to see the animals enjoying the things that I make.
