Pyro and Maniac (Py and Manni) who came to be known as the "little firefighters" were rescued from a fire in rural North Dakota by photographer and artist Carlos Rene Pacheco and adopted by him and his lovely girlfriend, Shaina.

She's not a fan of the car ride there, but if she could Pyro would pop the top off her carrier and explore every corner of the clinic. Manni...well...not so much. But both got updated shots and a clean bill of health.

We started leaving their carriers out awhile ago to make vet trips easier. Though here they look like they're serving time for a crime "they didn't commit". Sure, like we can't see you when you get up on the cupboards above the sink or when you pull down all the towels in the bathroom.

2 years! Time sure does fly. Rescued these little fluff balls 2 years ago today. As you can see Py has outgrown her box. Haha. When I first found them Py laid ontop of Manni to keep warm. How the tables have turned.
