Cold weather can be tough on pets, especially if they spend time outdoors. Here are a few tips to help keep them safe:

Provide shelter – If your pet must be outside, make sure they have a warm, dry shelter that’s insulated from the cold and has bedding like blankets or straw to help them stay warm.

Protect their paws – Snow, ice, and salt can irritate your pet’s paws. Consider getting them dog boots or wiping their paws off after walks to remove harmful chemicals or ice buildup.

Check the temperature – Animals, especially smaller breeds, can be vulnerable to hypothermia in freezing weather. If it's too cold for you, it’s probably too cold for them!

Watch out for antifreeze – Antifreeze is toxic to pets, so keep it out of reach and clean up any spills immediately.

Happy Monday Teton Valley!!
To answer some questions being asked around the valley,
YES we are allowing pet owners to come inside for appointments.
We are only asking clients call the clinic prior to entering because our lobby is small.
Most days we are inundated with emergency drop offs and surgeries on top of regular scheduled appointments. To make sure we have a safe and somewhat easy flow in the lobby , we like to have exam rooms available before you and your pets enter the building. By doing this we can avoid nose to nose contact between dogs, and safely secure cats and owners while in the building.
We love our clients and their pets, sadly we have outgrown the building since 2020.
If you have any questions or concerns we love to answer those! Give us a call 208-354-2212
