Hey guys, Gina here with an important update on Grady.
Grady currently has a growth on his right eye, between his upper punctum and duct.
Some people choose to not remove them. I’m choosing to have it removed.
It’s kinda itchy, Grady is rubbing his face on things. Rubbing stimulates its growth. As it grows bigger, he will scratch it more, the chances of him injuring his EYE by scratching is a strong possibility. An eye injury requiring drops in his eyes will be a difficult task as Grady can be difficult.
Grady is my special child.
Nothing is simple with him. I need to be aggressive with his treatment when things arise. I will take the opportunity to have his teeth cleaned while under, deep ear cleaning, nails, glands, vaccines. He is due for his 3 year rabies and due for his yearly vaccines that are also difficult and are given during special visits to the vet.
The estimate for all this is 1941.00
I will not be sending it out for biopsy so that will take off 285.00.
If anyone would like to help bring down my out of pocket a bit that would be amazing.
I have a lot on my plate, good (buying a house) and bad situations (fighting an unlawful eviction) that are costing money, immediate future expenses (moving) that will hit the wallet hard.
No matter what, Grady is going to to be fixed. He will see the vet again tomorrow Tuesday at 9:15 with sedation and a closer look at his eye, and vet will plan her surgery. If all looks good and Grady is sedated enough to be prepped for surgery we will move forward with surgery then. If he’s not sedated enough, and the surgery is a bit more complicated, we will proceed on Thursday increasing his at home prep sedation.
For those who don’t know who Grady is, here is his story
Panorama city street dog, trapped by a fellow dog lover. Taken to shelter, put on death row, I was asked to help him by his trappers. I was with a rescue from out of state that supported my rescue efforts and trusted my judgement when pulling dogs. I personally and impulsively pulled Grady to save him from being killed. From day one Grady has proven to be a handful. I take full responsibility for Grady’s care as he is not adoptable. I’ve had Grady for 5 year’s. I provide high quality food, shelter and love.
Please help me fix Grady
