Today we are thankful for you. We are thankful for your time, donations, shares, and showing up for the survivors we so deeply love. We couldn’t do it without you.
Today we are thankful for the veterinarians who address all physical and psychological trauma that our survivors have endured and help at literally all hours of the day when their expertise is needed. We couldn’t do it without you.
Today we are thankful for the local, state, and federal law enforcement, detectives, and prosecutors who say yes to bringing these sentient beings to safety…for good. From the investigations, to the scene, to the sentence. We couldn’t do it without you.
Today we are thankful for our incomparable . The ones who show up every day. Dirty boots, broken hearts, scooping p**p, washing mountains of laundry and kongs, handling each survivor with care and compassion, celebrating their wins, and being the best part of their days. We are in awe daily for your passion for the mission. We couldn’t do it without you.
Today we are thankful for our greatest teachers, motivators, and best friends…our survivors. We are in awe of your resilience, your trust, your bravery, and your spirit. You simultaneously break and heal our hearts. You are our reason.
