Tao of the Dog is a mobile pet grooming service focused on providing a compassionate and stress-free grooming experience. Dogs can't talk, so instead they communicate through energy and body language. I believe that by listening to these non-verbal cues, I can build a trusting relationship with my clients. I work especially well with nervous dogs to build their trust and readjust their relationshi

p with grooming. I exclusively use natural grooming products with no harsh chemicals or surfactants. This means you can expect less skin irritation and a healthier coat on your furry friend. I approach pet health care from a holistic standpoint and would be happy to chat with you about natural ways to care for your pet!

Here’s a time lapse video to give y’all a glimpse at what in-home grooming looks like. My grooming rig will be finished next month and I’m so excited to have my own space, but I am ever so grateful for all of you who have welcomed me into your home and trusted me with your furry family members. 🏡🐾💛 Tasha here is a super star for her body cut, but still has a hard time when it comes to grooming her face. You can see toward the end she moves her head around a lot and tries to avoid me trimming her face. I take my time with her and praise her every time she stays still for me. Many dogs who have more difficulty with certain aspects of the grooming process simply need a better connection with their groomer. Instead of feeling frustrated, I remember that Tasha is in a vulnerable situation and it requires a lot of trust from her to feel comfortable being groomed. With patience and love we are making progress with each session. I am so honored that these animals trust me to care for them 💛🙏🏼
