If your dog is not performing the way you want the first thing to do is change the way you are going about training him! 90% of naughty dog behaviors are because the dog has a history of successful repetition of performance. For one day change the way you are doing things. You will see a wonderful difference!

Chloe is learning that impulse control pays off in the end. Consistency is key when training this behavior.
Begin with simple commands, like asking your dog to wait a second before they can have something.
Incorporate impulse control into games your dog already enjoys, like fetch or mealtime.
