Our sweet Willa is sick.. A growth on her rear leg, long ago diagnosed as a fatty tumor, suddenly began to swell and visibly causing her pain the last week of October. We called to make her an appointment this past Friday. She was seen yesterday. Willa's vet felt removal was the best course of treatment. So, Willa spent the night at the vet, as we thought it best for her to acclimate ahead of surgery mid-morning today.
As is often the case, the best laid plans rarely go as we hope. After Willa's morning walk, she returned to her run to await her scheduled surgery. When the Dr. came to get her, the floor of Willa's run was all wet. Her tumor had burst. (We are so glad Willa was in the care of the Vet when this occured.). Anyway, 3 Veterinary Drs on staff at the clinic agreed to proceed with surgery this afternoon.
We await the results.
