We are home to 6 of Australia's only 11 Grand Champions and 17 Australian Champions. In 2012, Rodney founded Stoney Creek Farm with his Granddaughter, Summer. What started out as a small family hobby, and showing goats at MGBA shows, has now turned into one of Australia’s most award-winning and largest miniature goat studs - with Rodney leading the team into incredible accomplishments. With a love
for animals, Rodney and his partner John have created an ecosystem of tropical plants, award-winning gardens, and an entire farm of animals. Rodney and Summer have amassed a record number of awards in the show ring, developed partnerships with internationally recognised USA studs, imported premium USA Nigerian Dwarf genetics into Australia, and made a phenomenal impact on the miniature goat industry. It was an absolute privilege to show at the Dairy Goat Society Australia 2024 Sydney Royal Easter Show under international judge, Mr Chris Nye from the UK. The quality of the diary goat breeds was mesmerizing, not just one in the class but every goat down the line, the consistency in type is a credit to their breeders.
The hospitality which the New South Wales branch of the DGSA extended to myself and my team will never be forgotten. It was great having a yarn with some of the most experienced judges and exhibitors of Dairy Goats in Australia, Darrell Bishop, James Parlevliet and the rest of the DGSA NSW exhibitors.
This show reminded me of why I became infatuated in the craft of breeding the ideal animal based on a breed standard. The breed standard calls for health, reproduction (including milk production) and longevity. Watching Darrell's family and his grandchildren show, reminded me of when I first started this adventure with my Granddaughter Summer Niotakis. Summer was the founder of Stoney Creek Farm, our team just came along for the ride.
I am very proud of my DGSA Show Team.

Stoney Creek Farm breeds amongst the finest quality goats in Australia.
Started by Rodney and his granddaughter, Summer, we are a large stud located in the Gold Coast Hinterland. Since 2012, we have dedicated our time and focus to perfecting the breeding of Australian Miniature, Nigerian Dwarf, Nuwby, and Pygmy goat breeds.
Our stud is home to Champion Goats and Australia’s only Grand Champion 100% Nigerian Dwarf Goats - Apollo and his daughter Minx’s Angel. There are only a handful of Nigerian Dwarf goats in Australia.
We are always searching for new opportunities to provide our customers with the highest quality goats. Recently, we have imported some of the best Nigerian Dwarf semen from the United States, and are pleased to announce a successful Artificial Insemination program. Many of our does are currently pregnant, allowing us to offer our customers and community brand new Nigerian Dwarf genetics in Australia.
