There's no way to make this post short so here goes...
Last night I was browsing FB and my Hell's kitchen neighbors page kept popping up with this story of a deli cat. The Citra deli on 10th avenue bt 45th and 46th streets that closed it's doors 5 weeks and 1 day ago had left their deli cat inside. You heard that correctly... Their deli cat.. Locked inside for 5 weeks and 1 day by itself. I guess people had noticed and started posting about it. After coming across the post last night I could barely sleep. After my last client today I walked by the deli and saw an angel outside. His name is Ben. He had called 311 who informed him to call 911 as this was animal neglect/abuse. While we were waiting for the arrival 2 more magical souls showed up Brian and Catherine and then a 4th! All these amazing humans compelled to help this cat out from a FB post.
We reconnected closer to 4pm when the deli owners said they would be there to surrender the cat to Ben. I waited outside while Ben and Tiff went inside to rescue the babe. During that time I was able to speak with one of the owners (they own anorher deli in Chelsea called Chelsea fine food 8th avenue) the gentlemen said to me "it's ok we've been coming once a day to feed the cat and it has a bed downstairs" in my head there were tons of things I wanted to say...I bit my tongue and asked... "Sir it's been 5 weeks.. Why wouldn't you take the cat with you to your other location?" He responded with "I couldn't pick up the cat it likes to scratch" I knew any answer would not suffice and it didn't matter at this point. All that mattered was that the baby was now in a crate coming out of the store and starting the first day of it's brand new life. Around the corner they went to vet. Myself and the amazing souls that I met in front of the deli decided we wanted to be those annoying people and go to the vet as well. We all waited until they admitted Leila (Kitty cats name)
My heart is completely full and I'm flooded with emotion knowing there are such loving and caring souls in my community. Beyond grateful and proud of my fellow neighbors in Hell's Kitchen. You guys are AMAZING!

It's finally here! we've been eagerly waiting. I cried when my hubby handed it to me. After reading and re-reading AND re-reading the forever dog book and trying to apply the health and longevity tips so that my babes can live their healthiest lives we couldn't wait for the drop of the recipe book! We can't wait to share tips and tricks with all our clients and Instagram family and friends! And of course re-read the forever dog book again 🙏🏼 thank you so much and for these tools 🙏🏼 my 16.8 year old aka and aka thank you too!
