"I am incredibly grateful for the support I received from Pet Assistance during a recent emergency with our beloved cat. When we found ourselves in a dire situation, their assistance made all the difference. The kindness and compassion shown by their team was truly heartwarming.
They offered recommendations for a surgery center close to us we had not heard of before with genuine care throughout the entire process. Our cat is now on the road to recovery, and we couldn't have done it without their help. Thank you!!"

We received this email from one of our grantees:
"I am forever grateful for this organization. My chihuahua Teko was diagnosed with an inguinal hernia and needed surgery to repair the abdominal opening. This surgery saved his life because if any of the contents of the abdominal cavity became trapped while passing through, it could have killed him. This foundation donated the remaining amount needed for his surgery. At my chihuahua's post-op appointment, the vet let us know he healed perfectly and everything looked great. He's doing amazing; he's still as loving, energetic, and playful as before. Thank you, Pet Assistance, for your generous help!"

Another dog attack! I am getting sick of them already. Pet Assistance, Inc can help pay for this 7 year old dog to be initially seen at the ER, but what if it needs stitches? Antibiotics? And????? Who’s going to help on a weekend? Thousands of dollars probably needed. It’s a beautiful Saturday in Connecticut, but it was just ruined by my receiving this plea for help. The veterinary profession has been taken over by corporate ownership. We need nonprofit emergency hospitals for pets of people in need!!

Taco, a one-year-old pup, was violently attacked by a neighbor's loose dog on his own property. The attack was captured by a Ring door camera and is not easy to watch! He was rushed to an ER, which wanted $6000 for surgery, that the owner did not have. His intestines are outside of his abdomen, but no doctor will repair the wound without doing a full abdominal exploratory first to see if any other organs (not showing up on the x-ray) are damaged. Pet Assistance Inc. is helping, but Taco is still short about $2000. Please contribute to the family's GoFundMe and help save dear Taco's life

They have had their pets for many years, and now they need help with the ever-increasing cost of emergency vet care. The human beneficiaries of your generosity may be mostly faceless to us, but not the dogs and cats! We have photos of almost all the animals. How can you not want to help a pet when you look into its eyes?

Saving pets' lives and keeping families together....that's what Pet Assistance is about!
When Pet Assistance was founded over fifty years ago, dogs and cats were pets. Nowadays, dogs, cats, and even rabbits are 'fur babies,' and it is commonly expected that medical care for pets is equal to that of a two-legged child. The cost of veterinary care reflects our feelings about our four-legged companions. Costly diagnostic tests and treatment have driven the cost of emergency and urgent care way beyond the means of the average pet owner. Pets and their people suffer physically and emotionally from this crisis. Owners are turned away from emergency hospitals if they do not have thousands of dollars, and many pets are dying at home.

Aid from PAi is a lifesaver to hundreds of pet owners nationwide. PAi helps pets with broken bones and bladder stones. We also pay towards tumor removal, serious dental problems (stomatitis), pyometra (an infected uterus), exploratory surgery, and more.

"On a Friday night, as our family was moving to another home, our dog Pogo slipped out the door. We were so happy to find him Saturday morning, but we saw he was injured and took him to the vet immediately. The doctor told us he had a dislocated hip and would need FHO surgery. We could not afford the price we were quoted for the surgery.
We've had Pogo since 2012 when we took him in as a foster and adopted him. He is a dear member of our family, and we wanted to get him out of pain as soon as possible.
Thanks to help from Pet Assistance, Pogo quickly got the surgery he needed and is having a slow but steady recovery,"
