This made me realize how little I know about first aid for dogs! I’ll keep watching this until it is embedded in my mind and muscle memory.

From one of Pet Assistance, Inc.'s grantees... a photo and
five simple words: "Thank you so much for your help." It's a reminder that PAi is doing the right thing by helping needy people whose beloved pets have life-threatening emergencies that they cannot afford. Of course, we sent a telepathic message to Bruno, that he must NEVER eat string again!

Please remember Pet Assistance, Inc. on !
(You can even donate early!)
Reflect on all the good in your life and what you can do to help those less fortunate.
This year, Pet Assistance, Inc. has set an ambitious goal to raise $5,000 to continue our mission of providing emergency vet care.
Imagine if your beloved pet, suffering from a severe illness or injury, is denied the critical care it needs simply because you cannot afford it. This heartbreaking reality is faced by countless families every day. At Pet Assistance, Inc., we believe that every pet deserves a chance to heal, regardless of their owner’s financial situation.
Last year, we received an overwhelming number of requests for assistance. One heart-wrenching case involved Bella, a ten-year-old sweet shepherd mix whose x-ray showed she had a huge tumor on her spleen. An ultrasound confirmed that there were no other lesions elsewhere, so the best option was surgery. If the tumor was not removed, it could burst at any minute, and Bella would have to be euthanized.
Bella's elderly owner was devastated when he learned that the surgery Bella needed would cost over $3,000. He had already spent nearly $2000 on diagnostics. Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, Pet Assistance, Inc. was able to step in and help with the cost. Today, she is back home, wagging her tail and bringing joy to all who know her.
Please consider donating today. Your generosity will save lives and inspire hope in the hearts of pet owners who feel helpless in their time of need.

Together, we can create a community where every pet can access the care they deserve.
Your kindness and compassion do change lives.
With heartfelt gratitude, RUTH
FYI: The following are the most common emergencies for which people sought help from Pet Assistance, Inc. this past year:
34 pyometra surgeries
42 dogs and cats needed a cystotomy (surgery to remove bladder stones)
50 exploratory surgeries for intestinal blockages
46 catheterizations and surgeries for urinary blockages in male cats.
12 dog attacks: by a loose dog, and sometimes another pet in the house!

Is there a psychologist reading this???? Why do people donate thousands of $$$ to help abandoned and abused animals but have little compassion for an animal owned by a person with limited funds? Morris is 13 years old and has been a healthy, much-loved house cat...until this week. Four days ago, he was in pain and urinating blood. His owner took him to the ER and paid over $1200 for Morris to be catheterized and given antibiotics. $2800 is all that is needed for a life-saving cystotomy. (bladder surgery) Pet Assistance Inc. is donating a few hundred dollars, but it's a weekend so most hospitals are closed. Morris is suffering and will be euthanized to put him out of his pain unless some angels come down from heaven. (it was a beautiful photo, but I intentionally cropped out the owner.)
You can donate for Morris's surgery by clicking here: https://bit.ly/3vKdiJm Just say it is for Morris, and hopefully, he will 'make it.'

At least 10 gun industry businesses, including G***k, Smith & Wesson, Re*****on and Mossberg, secretly handed over names, addresses and other data to lobbyists, who used the details to rally firearm owners to elect pro-gun politicians.
