Charlie is registered, de-sexed, vaccinated and microchipped. His veterinary records are available. He is a 3.5 yrs. medium sized, mixed breed of approx. 27kg with no health issues. He has a calm and relaxed demeanor and is people and children friendly. He is well mannered, well behaved and exceptionally well trained with excellent recall.
Charlie is usually great with other dogs (friendly and polite), although he can be uncertain and defensive at first around very large dogs, nervous dogs or young excitable dogs (especially if they jump at him). Once familiar, he is fine with almost all dogs. He especially likes dogs with whom he can play chase and wrestle. Cats don’t appreciate his enthusiasm for play though, unfortunately.
Charlie loves toys and tug games but has had two cruciate ligament surgeries: care needs to be taken when choosing the nature and intensity of play. He needs a home where he can be provided plenty of exercise, socialisation and mental stimulation. He loves to learn new tricks, so would benefit greatly from further advanced training or formal activities such as rally or scent-work.
Whilst Charlie can cope with being alone quite well, he would be best suited to have the company of another dog or a family who come and go throughout the day.
If you are interested in providing a forever loving home for Charlie or would like more information, please contact:

🐾🐾 RENTING and PETS 🐾🐾

When you are renting please get a pet that you can take to another rental. We are seeing a HUGE influx of pets being surrendered and rehomed due to not being able to keep them as there is a housing crisis. You are 100% responsible for the pet that you took on to keep them for life, no excuses except for circumstances like DV, Death of a loved one along with a few others but that is it!
YOU took on that pet knowing you are renting, knowing you 100% will at some stage have to move from house to house and that you will need to take your pet with you. This is not the pets fault at all, its your fault as you only thought of your own wants/needs and not the needs of the pet.
If you rent then foster! That way you get to have a pet that you don't have to pay vet bills for and you get to have that pet in your life even if its for a short time. You don't have to worry about finding pet friendly rentals and if the next home doesn't allow pets then the rescue will put the pet into another foster home.
We know that people will kick up about this post but its time it was said that if you rent then you should know that you most likely cannot provide a home for that pet for the next 14-16yrs or more. Some people are committed and will do everything in their power to keep their pets even if it means sleeping in their car.
Time to rethink the type of pet you have when you rent to stop the influx of pets being surrendered. Its selfish of you to want a dog then when you move you cannot take that pet with you even though you have had that pet for years. Yes its selfish because you should of thought about that before getting a pet. You don't see your pet pining, not eating, shutdown, broken hearted and missing you like we do, its not fair on them just because you were selfish to think you are entitled to have a pet while renting, yet you cannot provide a home for that pet for the rest of its life but you have the luxury of being able to surrender that pet to a rescue who then picks up the pieces.
Get a pet that you can take with you no matter your circumstances that way rescues don't have to pick up the pieces of your pets broken heart when you then have to move!
Lets make a difference in the lives of the animals and make informed choices that benefit the pets and not ourselves.

!!!! WARNING GRAPHIC VIDEO !!!!

Carole Morris founder and owner/operator of SAHARA Formerly SA Dog Rescue filmed walking past paralyzed pig and then what looks like she pulls the food or container away from the pig?
Once again Carole Morris is in the spotlight just walking past a paralyzed pig but we are sure they will put some bu****it spin on this to say that it was someone else who caused this or that it was under vet care or some other bu****it story they make up! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS AND UNACCEPTABLE! These animal hoarders need to be punished to the maximus extent of the law once and for all because this is just sickening. To keep an animal alive like that just shows how sick these people really are! Carole Morris (pictured in this footage) and Shane Jones both convicted animal abusers should not be anywhere near any animal EVER again! Authorities need to now make sure they have a lifetime prohibition order slapped on both of them, banned from every running or being part of an animal sanctuary, shelter or rescue for life! They need to go to prison for the decades of cruelty they have caused hundreds of animals to endure!
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

SA Animal Rescues are meant to be an animals safe space not be neglected and suffer more! We are glad that these disgraceful rescues are being convicted and outed because without you speaking up then animals continue to suffer alone in pain and in silence!

05/04/2025

We are so glad to see others speaking up and out against bad rescues who hoard, neglect and misuse donations! We will continue to do that to save animals from living in filth, starving, being used for profit and being hoarded! Animals deserve better and you to can make a difference. If you know of a rescue here in SA who is neglecting their animals or misusing funds or profiteering while animals suffer in silence, then we want to hear from you and help you get justice for them. Some people are fearful of threats and bullying which is all to common in the animal rescue world but we are here to help you, support you and guide you to helping the animals in need. You are not alone!

💥💥💥A PET IS A LIFETIME COMMITMENT💥💥💥

When your dog comes to the dog kennel because you’re tired of him, because he bothers you, prevents you from going on holiday, your having a baby, suddenly you are allergic to your pet or any of the other 100 excuses...

He sits and waits.
He's waiting for you to come get him.
A second, a minute, an hour, a day, a month, a year --- he's waiting for you.

He doesn’t know why, but he’s waiting because he trusts you, because unlike you, he loves you. A dog loves you more than himself, so he waits.

Listen up well then. Your animal is not a toy.
Think twice before getting a pet.
You have the responsibility of a living being and of a family member.
DONT GET A PET IF YOU CANNOT KEEP THEM FOR ALL OF THEIR LIFE!

WE WILL BE BACK AFTER A LONG OVERDUE BREAK!

Hi guys we are on an extended break so we wont be able to help you rehome your pets for a while. We hope you understand that we haven't really had a long break in 11 years! We will be back in a few months, but until then we may share some rescues who need homes to help them make room to help you with your pets.
Thank you for supporting us and hopefully understanding that we do need to just switch off for a while. Take care x

***Update: Alfie is staying with his family, thats the best news ever for this fella!

Name: Alfie
Breed: Swiss Shepherd
S*x: Male
Age: 3yrs
Desexed, vaccinated, microchipped: yes all three

Good with dogs: yes- comes off aggressive with his loud bark but then wants to play. Not overly good when he’s on a lead as he feels he needs to protect owners.

Good with cats: no

Good with kids: yes, currently lives with a toddler and baby

Medical issues: no

Loves: attention, walks, throwing the ball, cuddles

Dislikes: not being apart of everything

Ideally we would love alfie to go to a home with a decent sized back yard so he is able to run around. He would do very well with a dog that has his amount of energy. An older dog wouldn’t be ideal as he would annoy it with his energy. We are unable to give him the attention he wants unfortunately and he deserves a better home.

I think he would be better in a house that he can be contained to a cat run or cat house because even though he's the sweetest boy inside sleeping amongst the teddies cuddling in your arms when he is outside he is constantly on the hunt. Due to our sick dog I can't keep him inside my dog needs to be able to go to the toilet all day and night and the cat keeps escaping, he is bringing it dead birds and mice into the house and is a threat to wildlife. That being said when he's inside he is gorgeous affectionate will sleep in your bed wake you up to neck cuddles every morning.

21/02/2025

So here we are once again calling you out Marky on your bu****it and lies. Here is your post which shows what looks to be a healthy horse in good nick right? But your footage just happens to be blurry which depicts a healthy horse of course because you cannot see the horse CLEARLY!

We have taken screenshots of your own video that you posted which tells a completely different story if you actually stop it in the right light and place of your video it clearly shows a horse which is NOT in good condition at all infact is is extremely skinny!

We have alot of photos and footage which will all come to light in due time Mark so please do the right thing and be honest for once in your life and stop defending Carole Morris and Shane Jones for their disgusting acts of cruelty. You are trying to set a narrative that is so far from the truth and playing down the cruelty of the animals to try to gain support by deception!

These two convicted animal abusers are convicted for their ongoing neglect of hundreds of animals over the past 2 decades. You even state they have been operating for over 30yrs but that is not true as they have only been operating now for 22yrs soon to be 23yrs!
That is nearly 23yrs of animals suffering which is nothing to be proud of Mark! You keep supporting these animal abusers because of your hate for the RSPCA! Where have you been while these animals have been suffering Mark? You don't get involved or help until its gotten so bad that the authorities have stepped in to save the animals! Then along comes Mark trying to make these people look like they have done nothing wrong, call them volunteers and make the RSPCA out to be the villain's in your story, what a bloody joke!

The proof is right here and we will continue to out your lies and deception because unless you are telling the truth which is that Carole Morris and Shane Jones (Co-founders of SAHARA Formerly SA Dog Rescue) who are the ones looking after all those animals on Carole Morris's Morgan property and both whom continue to neglect them, then we will continue to actually post the TRUTH!

You don't believe us then go to the video and have a look for yourself we have included the exactly time for you all to see clearly the condition of the horse!

Lets call Mark out on this one as he posted horses in excellent condition making them out to be SAHARAS horses or Shane ...
20/02/2025

Lets call Mark out on this one as he posted horses in excellent condition making them out to be SAHARAS horses or Shane Jones who ever owns them! The horses posted are in excellent condition as they are extremely well looked after by the University unlike those looked after by Carole Morris and Shane Jones who are infact in shocking condition!

The horses Mark has posted on his page are located at Uni SA's Roseworthy Campus who belong to the university and are infact NOT SAHARA Formerly SA Dog Rescue's horses nor are they Shane Jones horse's and are most certainly not any of the horses seized from the Morgan property on Tuesday or Wednesday this week, that is run by two convicted animal abusers!

Mark please stop lying to the public and start telling the TRUTH as you keep stating you only post truth? -----BU****IT!
We will call you out on your lies! We could have posted more screen shots to prove you wrong, plus we made a call to the campus and all those horses you took photos of from outside the University are the Campus horses!

We are actually embarrassed for you Mark Aldridge because you thought you could get away with this bu****it story but here we are proving you have lied! Naughty naughty....

We would like to take a moment to address an issue regarding Mark Aldridge's posts he has made that are defamatory again...
19/02/2025

We would like to take a moment to address an issue regarding Mark Aldridge's posts he has made that are defamatory against Champions Horse Transport based on the fact that these guys transport horses for a living! They need to put food on their table, pay their bills and support their families like we all do and yet we have people like Mark Aldridge getting his followers to ambush this amazing transport company because they are used sometimes to transport horses for RSPCA South Australia and this has to STOP!

Its so good to see that RSPCA SA are using such amazing transporters who take pride and care in what they do! So lets get behind this company and show them that we support them!

These guys are amazing at their jobs and transport your horses with the utmost care and do not deserve the disgusting comments being made about them by Mark and his followers!

Please could you take a moment to go and show your support for Champions Horse Transport by giving them a like and following the work they do to ensure your beloved horse is transported with the best care. If you know anyone who needs horses transported then please show your mates or pass on their number because they are definitely one of the best transporters for your furry friend here in SA.
Thank you x
