Wilma. This beautiful girl is a newer patient. She's around 5 years old, used and abused to make as many babies as possible at her young age. No love no care given, she had no idea what a dog bed felt like. Despite all of it, she's the most thankful, loving , sweet little lady I've ever had the pleasure to meet. Wilma is half blind, her eyes are cloudy. Her body is used but shes the most beautiful creature and i was certain I'd find her a perfect home. Today i had to bring her to the vet, pneumonia, other issues and leishmania. Which renders her chances of a happy life in a new home to almost zero. She's fighting tonight at the vets - she will make it I'm sure ❤️ this is our life, it's what we do, it's what we have to do. Please, if you can help with a donation towards her treatment we would be over the moon ❤️🙌✨ and on the off chance that someone would consider giving this beautiful lady a forever home - wow, that would be beautiful ❤️ contact us here

Some much needed on . Our beautiful mama Lana has found her forever home with a kind man, completely and utterly in love with her since the day she arrived at in İzmir ❤️ Lana was dumped and picked up on the 14th of January 2022 with a litter of 6 babies, a couple of hours old. We got wind of it and the belediye brought them to the farm instead of the shelter 🥰 Lana lost one baby unfortunately but 2 and now her are in forever homes. ❤️ Good luck beautiful girl i hope you finally get what you deserve 💫✨💗🥰🐕 if you can please consider even the smallest to help us carry on helping the voiceless ❤️🙌🌻

❤️❤️ everyone settling nice ☺️ it's a long road ahead but everyone including the pups are up for it. Pedro for example, absolutely heartbreaking when he was found by member Nurdan, so many years ago, realized after 4 days of complete shutdown - it's ok where he is and it's going to be good ❤️ Maya is blind and she found her way to the one person that's always there , and is in some ways similar ❤️ the teenagers are still very shut down 😔 but we will get there 🙌 thank you for your support and likes ❤️ our heaven is being rebuilt ☺️☀️🙌❤️🐕please don't forget to support us, we do need it urgently, we want to keep doing the best we can 🙌☀️❤️🐕🥰

🥰 loads being done fast. I absolutely love the pups new houses 😀🏘️ and they seem a whole lot calmer and comfortable ❤️🐕🙌 we still need lots of your support too 😬 the vet bill i posted yesterday and if anyone would like to support us directly with food instead of transfers, we have a favourite mid range quality food. After some positive news this morning unfortunately follows sadness in the evening today. Ena has passed on. She was a fighter and together we kept things going and moving for a long time. She always told me she had the will no matter how bad she might have looked. This morning she had a heart attack we suspect. She recovered shortly but then gave in 😔 her body was too weak. İt gives me strength to know that Ena's last 2 weeks at our new place we're spent in complete freedom, a warm room to rest, love and care. To everyone involved in her well being - a million thanks.
So long dear furry friend, i love you and you will stay with me forever. ❤️🌟😥💫🌈🐕

from our new place ❤️ we have received a wonderful donation from towards our first vet bill for treatment of Ena , Zeus and 2 more pups. Forever grateful 🥲❤️🙌🐕 it's been busy already, the vet came and vaccinated rabies, some got their chips, dewormed and defleed 18 dogs in total 😨👍 it's was necessary and couldn't wait 🙌 the total is 17'000 tl / 809 Euro/ 710gbp. 4 more pups had to start treatment. The treatment was free, the medicine another 4000tl/190euro/167gbp. İt's a total of 22'000tl / 1050 Euro/ 919 GBP. İt's a lot but it had to be done. We are on the right track, most of the pups are free and are coming out of their shells again ❤️ these sums will.becom less as the most expensive part was the rabies and the chips. Rabies will be due in 1 year again. İf anyone feels like they could help us towards this payment we would be eternally grateful ❤️🙌❤️🐕

Dear followers and friends. The first piece of information is written by Philippa Johnson and the second is from Chantal Ozbas herself. It’s long but please bare with us. 🥰

We are all very aware of what coercive control, physical and emotional abuse are now.
Chantal has been suffering from all of the above for years. As with all people in this situation you can only get out of it once you realise that it’s NOT OK, you DO NOT deserve it and you CANNOT fix it, no matter how hard you try. To leave your husband and break up the family is a traumatic decision wherever you are but in Turkey it’s just not an acceptable thing. Terrible things have been happening to her, the children and the dogs, details of which are being handled by lawyers and can’t be discussed on here. She is safe, the children are safe and now as of this week the dogs are safe.

It's been a very long time since my last proper update for this I apologise 🙏
The pups and me have been going through a very hard time. Due to personal problems I've had to keep away from the farm since last august. This led to the pups not being looked after properly. It was and is still breaking my heart but I had no choice. Be it as it may I'm finally allowed to share. In the last week I've moved all the pups from Kuşadası to İzmir. A wonderful new area that belongs to wonderful people who live and breathe dog. There is a similar situation as mine already, 30 beautiful streetpups. They were kind enough to take us in. I don't want to share the many heartbreaking pictures I've seen of my pups at birdisland farm, that in one year turned into a hellhole for dogs. It isn't necessary. I'd much rather share with you that the pups are safe, in the best hands and I get to be with them again. I've had to build another shelter. They had the area but of course not the fencing and kennels. So I did that. Come hell or high water I had to make them safe. I can now continue the dream of finding each and every one of them a new home in time. I'll share a couple of pictures today so you can all see what it looks like.
If you could find it in your hearts to support the pups and me in our new place we would be extremely grateful. There are some pups that needed emergency treatment which puts my bill at the vet to 10'800tl (£420) Zeus, emaciated, dehydrated, erlichia and leishmania untreated. Ena, cancerous tumors left untreated, emaciated and dehydrated - an operation will follow as soon as she is strong enough. Furthermore we have to de-worm and de-flee all of them as well as finally sterilize and castrate those teenagers - about 9 of them quite urgently. A big part of our job now is to re-socialize them - they have been sorely neglected for months, many have gone back to their old ways, scared and wary of anything new. We will manage in time also. Food costs will amount roughly 10'000tl (£420) a month give or take.

Thank you to everyone who does a monthly donation the money has been paying towards food. It would be amazing if anyone else could find it in their heart to pay even just £5 per month towards a dog to help them to a better, happy future. If you could help with anything please say. Happy Sunday ❤️ first off, a humongous thank you to all of you for your continuous support, in the past month especially 🤗 I'm so so thankful to have this Birdislandfarm family having my back, what you all make possible is beautiful ❤️ I've attached some 🥰 pictures of 4 of our youngest adoptable pups: Nelly, Paulie, Pina and Piper 🥰all beautifully sweet natured, quite large 5 to 9 month old babies 😅 🤗 love & light ❤️🙌🫶

I know this is terrible. I'm posting this because we all need to be reminded about what is actually happening in this country. This is not made up. This is exactly. what it is in 80% of this country. Every life deserves a life. I'm sick to my stomach everyday. And no matter what we fight even if it is just in our small areas with the means we have. Any and every support makes a difference here. My dear friends and supporters.
I realize I have been absent, I realize I owe an explanation. Due to personal reasons I've had to take a bit of a time out. I've had to re- evaluate my personal involvement in animal rescue. A dream is beautiful but it only works if you make it into hard reality on every level. Time, money and heart. I've never missed the third, but the first two have been challenging. The farm is still going strong. But on a much smaller level. Not anyone can look after and take care of animals - and with my standards finding someone that can without asking too much of them is difficult. If I could I'd do it all. But I simply can't.
So there's been a lot of movement. My honest friend and somewhat kindered spirit Hakan of Hunters has stepped up, in a desperate hour of need. He has taken over some of my dogs. I will be eternally grateful to him. He has the space and he has the passion. It was a long winded decision and we worked together beautifully to make the transport happen. In a fair way to the pupps and us. I am responsible for them financially, I will be sharing their posts, helping to fundraise for them until they finally find their forever and ever home. Please follow.. Any financial support for the pupps that are now at Hunter's I will forwards in full of course. Please continue following me and supporting me also, once I am able to share more again I will, so you can be sure your support fully and only goes to the animals. I still have many bills open and ongoing 🙏🙌🐾 Thank you also to everyone who has continued to support me although I have been so absent - thank you for your trust 🙏 I will leave you with these news and a little video of abandoned Gofret who is lucky enough, at his age, to have found a new home in turkey that is willing to help him loose weight and become healthy again.

everyone 🤗 pearl is slowly loosing her extra weight - the puppies help keeping her alert and moving 😅❤️ then we've had an Aloe Vera bath day for the littlest ones 🥰 2 of them are giving us a bit of a scare at the moment 😞 they are far too skinny and we have separated them now. They are eating and drinking which gives us hope that there's no parvovirus around again 🙌 all fingers and toes crossed for these babies 🤞🤞🤞🙌🎈🐾 and last but not least a little playtime ☺️🤗 please consider a in order to help us keep doing what we are doing for these ☀️❤️🙌🐾

everyone ❤️ I'd like to introduce or remind you of 2 very special pups at the farm ☺️ first: 5 year old Minnie 🥰 second: 5 year old Flasg. Minnie and Flasg have lived most of their life in kennels, they both have the most gentle and beautiful souls - Minnie is a beautiful, demure, elegant, calm , funny lady, Flash is a big and strong boy who is very gentle, loving, a tad protective (not much and quite happy to be put in his place) and yes funny - in other word two wholesome package dogs who anyone would be lucky to call their partner / family addition. They are a little older and typical turkish shepherd mixes which makes an adoption quite hard😔 silly because with Minnie and Flash you will get a best friend, a partner in crime, a support dog, a companion, a cuddle buddy and a play mate all in one . They are healthy and ready to travel. Please consider these 2 pups when thinking of ❤️ they deserve is all 🥰🙌❤️🐾

everyone, with a little story about Sully 🥰 sully was abandoned at the shelter, he broke a couple of metal cages whilst there and everyone knew he had to get out to stand a chance. We had no space at the farm (full with adoptable beautiful pups!!!) A kind lady took him but sully ended up locked up in a room because he would attack everything and anyone in sight. So he was returned to the shelter. This time we jumped in and took him to the farm, we thought ok .. let's try 😬 it took more than 6 months to get where we are today...from not being able to even come close to his cage, to starting interaction from a far, to being able to feed him inside his cage a clean it out without him being tied up, to the last video taken today. Sully decided to trust and it gives us great hope for him to be able to live a good life in the right environment one day ☺️🙌❤️ please help us help them 🙏

A bit of a long post today ☺️ everyone 🙌 starting off with Kar (snow), a r**e victim, Kar has and still is learning what good people are and how much fun good social skills and just being a dog can be ❤️ next up Pasha and Pablo two huge, strong dogs with a heart and a soul and a character of complete mush and love ❤️ then bully puppies, they are the sweetest little 3 week old babies who have no idea that they are banned, their life will either be kept secret or very restricted ❤️then a litter of 4 typical Kangal cross puppies about 2.5 months old, picked up by the animal cemetery next to their dead mum and siblings ❤️ and last but by no means least a glimpse into ALL the healthy, recovered, happy (as much as can be in a shelter environment) pups in our dog enclosure. A huge Kangal lady, next to staffie pups, next to pointer dogs and a blind girl, mingling with sheperd crosses and a dogo argentino with some Shar Pei thrown in the mix. I can't believe how polite they all are 😉 ❤️ most of these dogs are looking for their forever home - they are healthy and ready. Please help us help them and consider a donation, a share of our posts and of course - consider adopting one of our beautifu pups ❤️🙌🐾🤞 &light 🤗❣️
