It’s the first heavenly birthday for our beautiful Giovanni. This year, he would’ve turned 12 today. Despite the one year anniversary of your passing creeping up, there are still some days we forget that you are no longer with us. Your human babies still ask when you will be coming home from the moon, so it’s safe to say you will never be forgotten by them either.

A day late with our official celebrations (and unfortunately indoors due to the poor weather here in Perth 🌧️), but that’s because we needed to get a very special cake 🎂
Happy 10th Birthday to our beautiful Arya, our matriarch of Orsina, mother, grandmother and our beloved best friend. She sadly has had a tough year with the passing of her life partner, but now with her little granddaughter to keep her busy she will be feeling a little more herself.
We love you beautiful girl 🥳 💜

Well you have all recently been seeing lots of post about this little pup 🥰
We would like to officially introduce our newest family member and member of team Orsina.
Being a singleton pup I think by two weeks old we just knew we couldn’t part with her.
She has helped our family heal somewhat (especially Arya) with the passing of our dear Giovanni late last year.
It was love at first sight for our 4 year old daughter whom promptly named her Ember 🔥
(Orsina Steal the Show) after her favorite character from the movie elemental.

Stunning Miss Rhea (Orsina Eternal Flame 🔥) a daughter of Lyanna and lives in Perth WA with her family, and is turning 3 in September.

She herself looks like a regal queen here, (I wonder if she is team black 🖤 or green 💚 in the war of the dragons? )

We are anticipating a Lyanna litter later this year 🤞🏻

Congratulations to our friends at Kuuwa Labradors on the results of Lukas genetic screening 👏🏻
As ANKC breeders we follow a strict code of ethics and prior to breeding any Labrador they must have their hips and elbows xrayed and scored by an authorized veterinary radiologist.
Luka (Orsina A Shining Light) was from our beautiful Winters litter, born in December 2022 and sired by NZ Roughfield Air Over Camelot. The only girl with 6 brothers- guess who was the boss.

Her results are
Hips 2/2 and Elbows 0/0 which is a fantastic score. We look forward to seeing Luka hopefully become a mummy later this year when she is matured 🐾 🩷

Our beautiful Winter ❄️ became a mummy again on the 16th of April, a day before her own birthday 🥰 As you can see there is just one little precious chocolate 🐻 It was our first ever singleton litter. No complications just Mother Nature intending for there only to ever be one.
This is a repeat mating from our frozen semen imported from NZ sired by Roughfield Air Over Camelot. Pup is now 6 weeks and thriving 🐾

💉This serves as an important reminder to ensure that your dog is safe and up to date with their yearly vaccinations 🐶

🦠 What is parvovirus? 🦠

Parvovirus is highly infectious, often fatal, disease that most commonly attacks the gastrointestinal tract of dogs.

Parvovirus is incredibly stable and therefore can remain in an environment for long periods of time and is easily transmitted via the feet of infected dogs, contaminated shoes or clothes. The main source of the virus is the faeces of infected dogs.

⚠️ Unvaccinated dogs or dogs whose vaccinations have lapsed and young puppies are most at risk.

👉🏻 Signs of parvovirus
- sudden onset bloody diarrhoea
- lethargy
- unwillingness to eat
- repeated episodes of vomiting

It’s important to note many infected dogs may not show every clinical sign.

Anzac Day is a day of national remembrance honouring those who served and gave their lives during times of conflict, peacekeeping operations and war. 25 April is also an opportunity to remember the loyalty and sacrifice of the service animals who stood alongside their battalions during these times.

Animals have played a critical role during wartimes for centuries. They’ve provided comfort and inspiration, been guards and mascots, carried messages and hunted enemies. More than 16 million animals served during the First World War

The purple poppy symbolises all animals who have died during conflict. It is estimated that more than 8 million animals sacrificed their lives in World War I alone. As a way to commemorate the animals that have served and those that continue to, you can wear a purple poppy along side your red poppy.

LOCAL PARVOVIRUS REPORTS 🐕 | City of Wanneroo residents are being advised to ensure their dogs are vaccinated following the reported detection of parvovirus in the Butler area.

The highly contagious virus causes vomiting, diarrhoea, lethargy and dehydration in dogs, and can potentially be fatal.

Information shared by residents on social media indicates reported cases of the virus at Kingsbridge Park and Pembury Park in Butler.
