Clients can either make or break you.

Good clients remind you on a daily why you chose a profession. Bad clients remind you on a daily what else you could be doing with your life.

Good clients make the long days go by quick. Bad clients make the long days longer and more tiring then they were.

Good clients breathe life back into your tired soul. Bad clients suck the soul and life right out of you.

Good clients respect your time. Bad clients take more and expect more of your time.

Good clients respect that you are human. Bad clients expect you to be god.

Good clients are worth more than they will ever realize. Bad clients think they are the most important every single time of day.

Good clients are what have kept me from closing the door. Bad clients remind me that I should always have an escape plan.

Today I am grateful for the good clients. Especially the ones that have been with me from the very beginning. They are what keeps me getting up and going out to work.

I will be reaching out to everyone who is scheduled on sundays (from november 10th on) today ( this evening as i am at work most of the day), to get you rescheduled.

Chris is leaving the country november 29th through december 12th. I will be reaching out to clients scheduled during this time frame to also get you rescheduled.

Those who are already scheduled during november and december, i HIGHLY recommend you getting your next appointment scheduled now. November and december are full, january is already starting to fill up...and with rescheduling everyone it is only going to get fuller.

****reminder**** i do have a cancellation list. So if you do not see an appt available when you need...go ahead and schedule where you can and reach out to me (614-927-7907 this is the fastest and most productive way to get ahold of me)!!

Please bare with me as i work on getting everyone plugged in and getting everything shifted around.

Thank you,
-whitney

We so appreciate the good clients, those who know I’m human. Those who understand I can serve you better if you’re understanding, if you stick to policy
I really appreciate the kind reviews and those who remind me my work is worth something.

Find local businesses, view maps and get driving directions in Google Maps.

PSA!!!

If you are not reaching out to me directly about scheduling, you wont get scheduled (unless you schedule yourself online). Chris does not handle the scheduling so discussing the schedule with him at the actual appointment is not going to accomplish much unfortunately.

There are three ways to get ahold of me:

*Phone (fastest way): 614-927-7907 (text is quickest as i am usually at a barn with minimal signal)

*email: [email protected]

* or facebook messenger

Please be a bit considerate here. I work three jobs so it can take me 24 to 48 hours to get back to you. Emergencies i will answer ASAP if i can.

That is all, thank you

Everyone take care of yourselves.
No one can do their best without feeling their best. The last we’ll say on the matter before getting back to full swing.

I know I sound like a broke record. So this is my last say on this matter-for awhile.

For years, we, Chris Nusbaum and I,
have dedicated ourselves to supporting others, often placing the needs of your families and priorities above our own.

We’ve done this with care and understanding, because we know how important it is.
But now, it’s time for us to make the same commitment to ourselves and our family, which is equally important.

As we move forward, we must address necessary rate adjustments for both our assistant instructor and farrier services. We’ll continue to make these tough decisions to operate until we no longer can.

Caring for ourselves is the only way we can continue to provide the level of service you expect and deserve.

Looking ahead, I’m uncertain what the future holds for our location beyond next September as far as our barn in Hilliard

We will always offer options and resources, and we never ask anyone to choose us out of obligation. However, we can’t provide what we no longer have. For those of you boarding with us, please know you are welcome to use your own veterinarian or farrier. If you do so, I kindly ask that you ensure you are available to hold your horse or coordinate with me for the holding fee of $15, as boarding fees alone do not cover this time.

At present, my lesson rates remain stable. However, we will begin downsizing our herd, and depending on how this winter unfolds, I cannot guarantee that boarding rates will remain unchanged in 2025. It’s my plan, but I have no idea about this winters weather

We deeply appreciate your understanding as we take these steps to prioritize our own well-being.
If we can’t function, neither can the business we’ve worked so hard to build.

Thank you for walking alongside us through these changes, as we strive to ensure a balanced future for everyone involved.

We want to take a moment to express our deepest appreciation for your continued trust and support. Due to Chris’s health...

We want to take a moment to express our deepest appreciation for your continued trust and support.

Due to Chris’s health and the ongoing demands of the job, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to adjust our rates. Starting November 1st, trimming rates will increase by $10.

We haven’t raised rates in over two years, despite rising costs, and we apologize for the timing, knowing how tight finances are for many.

Here’s the updated breakdown:

• 1 horse: $75
• 2 horses: $70 each
• 3 horses: $65 each
• 4+ horses: $60 each these are just trims rates.
* if a shoeing is also done at same location/time you can pay the lower rate of $60*
✋ old rates will NOT be honored after the 1st so if you need to cancel we understand
Draft trims (size 5+) are $85 no exceptions

We understand this is a challenging time, and we’re committed to helping where we can.

If you are going through financial hardship, in poverty, or on a fixed income, Chris will work with you. We ask that you please fill out a form with proof of your situation, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

We’re making this adjustment now to prevent further increases in the near future.

For those with outstanding balances, we kindly ask that you bring your account up to date, as we’ll be reviewing our books and reaching out where necessary.

Thank you for your understanding, and please don’t hesitate to contact us with any concerns.

**UPDATE** still working through my list of call backs/reschedules. I got knocked down with a virus this weekend and have been sleeping a ton trying to recover. Bare with me. If you have not heard from me yet you will by tomorrow at the latest. Thank you for your understanding.
-whitney

I will be calling everyone tomorrow who was on the schedule this week to get you rescheduled. If you do not receive a call it is because you either do not have a phone number listed ( at which point i will email) or the phone number you have listed is wrong (again check your email).

I can NOT stress this enough....
PLEASE make sure you have the correct number, email, and service address listed on your account!!! Also PLEASE make sure that you schedule in the right section, if you do not know what section to schedule in ask, i can guide you.

That is all...thank you everyone for your understanding. Have a wonderful evening.

03/10/2024

Dear Clients,

As of November 4th, Chris will no longer be offering shoeing or trimming services on Sundays. This decision has been made to protect his physical and mental well-being. While Saturday appointments will still be available, Sunday services will be limited to emergencies only and will incur a $50 fee PER HORSE. Chris will continue to provide Sunday services through November 3rd.
If Sunday is occasionally available as a makeup option Whitney will tell you.

To help with this transition, Whitney, our secretary, will be reaching out to all Sunday clients to reschedule appointments for days that better align with the new schedule after November 3.
She will assist in finding times that work best for you.

If you are unwilling or unable to adjust to the new schedule, Whitney can also provide a list of local farriers to ensure you are well-supported. However-all half decent farriers with any experience are busy.

Additionally, Chris will be reducing his client load slightly. However new clients are accepted if the new schedule allows and he’s traveling to your area. At this time he cannot accommodate those who change shoeing request every cycle or those that don’t obey policies and schedule

If you are affected by the reduction in certain areas or services, you will receive an email by the end of the week.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause as it was a tough, heavily weighed decision.

Please note that these changes are necessary and non-negotiable. Due to the demands of the job, we will not be discussing or answering questions regarding these adjustments.

Lastly, please be aware that shoeing prices will likely increase by $10-$15 per service within the next few months.
Trimming prices will remain unchanged for now.

We appreciate your understanding and support during this time of adjustment.

Sincerely,
Nusbaum Farrier Services

Friendly reminder!!!!

Books are filling up faster than ever! ❤️❤️ Chris is booked solid atleast 4 weeks out at any given time. Please try NOT to wait until last minute to schedule your appointment. If you do NOT see anything available when you go to schedule, reach out to me (whitney). I may be able to plug you in, if I'm unable to, i can atleast get you scheduled and added to our cancellation list.

Also VERY important. PLEASE make sure you are filling out the intake forms with the CORRECT phone number, service address, e-mail, and that you are selecting the right service section ( A, B, C, D, E, F, and G).

Thank you all,
Whitney
