The Mioritic Shepherd 👀

Here at The Biggie’s League we have some amazing larger dogs who are Mioritic Shepherds or Mioritic mixed breeds - they are majestic dogs, native to Romania 🐾

Large dogs, sometimes giant in size who were bred to serve as loyal and devoted livestock guardians. Imagine hillsides covered in sheep and a Mioritic lying quietly, watching over its flock 🐑

In domesticity, it's easy to understand that when adopted by you and your family, they see you and your family as their flock - they bond deeply with their families and are unwavering in their duty to protect, it's in their built 🦴

Calm in nature, independent, loyal, protective and can be cautious around strangers, people and dogs can fall into this category. Patience, positive reinforcement and consistency in training are key. They can be quite stubborn as adults and do not like being scolded, a calm pack leader is the best match for these beautiful souls 🏡

Big fluffy double coats which require regular grooming and big paws that either lay elegantly crossed at rest or on plonked on your lap when they want attention 🤍

Introducing beautiful Aimee 👼🏼

Aimee is a lovely medium to large one year old 🤍

Poor Aimee hasn’t had the best start after finding herself in the dreaded Lancram kill shelter - she was so young that she possibly thought that this is what life is about but thankfully she was saved and has since made her way into foster where she is learning what freedom, fun and home feels like!! Aimee is beautiful soul - inside and out, it’s clear she has a wonderful temperament too. Aimee is letting her guard down but still skittish at times as she’s learning that she won’t come to any harm. The way to her heart is food - you will automatically be best of friends if you being treats over. Aimee enjoys her kibble but as soon as she smells human food, she no longer wants it and patiently waits to see what better food may come her way. It’s still early days but she will truly made an amazing addition - who wouldn’t want to be there when Aimee experiences all the fun things like has to offer with a family of her own!! 🐶

Aimee recently went to the groomers and was an absolute star in a busy salon with unfamiliar dogs around - she naturally has a long and thick gorgeous coat which will need regular brushing to help keep it in tip top condition!! In the comments is a video of her getting her much needed groom and pamper ✂️

Aimee currently finds comfort in her crate so she would love a safe space where she can go while settling in, good with dogs and has been spayed 🦴

Anyone have room for this little sweetie? 🏡

Jessie is ten years of age and a uk bred Pug Mix 🤍

Sadly her owner has passed away - it’s a sad situation for not only her family but Jessie too but we are going to help find this beautiful soul her retirement home 🐾

For the first six years of her life, poor Jessie was used for breeding - locked in a dark shed being made to have litters after litters but even after everything she has been through, Jessie remains a very happy little girl who enjoys her home comforts and her gentle walks where she happily plods along side you - she doesn’t even need a lead as she just wants to be beside her humans. Jessie is in need of a peaceful and loving retirement home where she can rest right next to you on the sofa - although her favourite spot at the moment is right next to the warm fire!! She may only be small but she is full of personality and always making her foster family laugh - she comes running when she hears you opening the food cupboards, day dreams when you give her bum scratches which are her all time favourite and her little hops 👼🏼

Jessie is currently overweight and does need to lose quite a bit but this is being worked on in her foster home. She is housetrained, sleeps soundly throughout the night, can be left and travel well in the car - she has been spayed 🦴

Jessie is used to living with a pack of dogs and shows absolutely no issues - she great with dogs of all ages and sizes. She shows no aggression whatsoever 🐶

Could you be the special forever or foster home that this little lady needs? If so she will repay you with bundles of fun, frolics and unconditional love 🤍

Meet the one and only Jet is who is three years old and weighs sixteen kilograms - she has a poodle type coat that does not shed, oh and she has the whitest smile 🐾

She is what you could call a "humans" dog so we are looking for her to be the only dog. The reason for this is because she is protective over things that are really important to her like her toys, food and her family.
THIS IS ONLY WITH OTHER DOGS AND NOT WITH PEOPLE!!! She has no problem if for any reason her person needs to remove her toys or food. Due to how important these things are to her it would make sense for her not to live with young children but is fine with dog savvy teenagers 🐶

Jet will be amazing as an only dog getting all the attention she loves and deserves and will give you it back tenfold. She is never far from you and once that bond has been established you will be her world. She is eager to please and very food motivated so therefore highly trainable 🦴

Jet is house trained and travels well in the car.
She has a good balance of high energy and downtime. She loves to play ball and enjoys brain stimulating games/puzzles. Jet sleeps quietly through the night on her own causing no destruction and can be left for up to four hours during the day. Jet walks nicely using a head collar as she tends to pull on a normal lead/harness. If she sees another dog during playtime she forgets her recall and will run right up to them barking and invading their personal space therefore a longline is better for this which can then be shortened when walking in busier areas. Jet is getting much better at focusing on her person when on the short lead if she sees another dog and is learning to settle much more quickly after the initial excitement if she stops to say hello and has careful introductions. Jet would benefit most if her person has previous doggie experience and can continue to instill all the positive things she has worked at so hard to achieve using a calm and consistent approach 👀

Jets life so far has been very disruptive through no fault of her own. Please consider giving this loving, cheeky little dog the chance she so desperately needs and deserves to allow her to thrive and become the shining star we know she truly is!! 🏡

Can you offer Shelby her forever home? 🤞🏼

The look a husky gives you when they want something - part mischief, part angel. It's impossible to resist, just like it's impossible not to fall hopelessly in love with them every day!! 🤍

Shelby is a two year old female husky 👀

Beautiful Shelby has only recently arrived into the uk but has been settling in seamlessly and enjoying life to the fullest already - she has a very sweet, gentle and affectionate character where she welcomes tummy rubs and kisses!! Being a Husky, Shelby isn’t actually an overly bouncy dog outside of play time and has a calm personality. Shelby isn’t destructive in the home, isn’t a picky eater and loves water. She is a dog with so much potential and with dedication will make a lovely addition to the right home 👼🏼

Shelby gets along well with other dogs and has lived peacefully in foster with both feline and doggy companions which is somewhat unusually for a husky!! If she is homed as the only dog, Shelby would like someone home for her for company 🐶

Shelby walks very well on the lead and copes well with strangers, traffic and other dogs when out and about having never displayed any reactivity. Shelby has only recently arrived in foster so she will need time to be fully housetrained but is absolutely smashing home life. Shelby has been spayed, vaywnd microchipped 🦴

Just five month of age and weighing ten kilograms - he is anticipated to be medium in size 👀

Dylan is part of a litter of seven adorable babies with just three remaining, Dylan being one of them so we are really hoping his home is just around the corner!! Dylan is a very well socialised, happy and playful boy who’s a typical young puppy bursting with joy, excitement and love. Dylan is a sweet pup, inside and out - he truly is a very special boy!! 💙

Look who’s made it safely to his foster home!! Jack is now settling in after his travels to the uk where he has already found his favourite spots around the home - in his foster mum arms, sitting very elegantly on a chair and watching over his pals in the garden. Jack is a fantastic little puppy who’s shy at first with people and change but to Jack - absolutely everything is exciting and an adventure!! Jack is great with everyone including children, he will make a wonderful addition to someone’s family - Jack is ready to fill your heart!! 🐾

Introducing the most perfect baby, meet Luna!! 👼🏼

Luna is a small sized five month old 🤍

Lovely Luna only arrived into foster a couple of days ago but has seamlessly settled in already and has been showing everyone what a confident, sweet and absolutely loving puppy she is - we are all in love!! Apart from her beloved food, Luna loves to lick you and snuggle down loads with her humans - female, male and even little ones. Luna was born in foster over in Romania so she’s incredibly used to a home environment and all its comforts!! She is a bouncy and playful puppy who’s intelligent and eager to please - Luna will be an absolute joy to train. As she’s only young, Luna does puppy bite but this has settled down especially when she has toys around - balls being her go too!! 🎾

Luna gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playing with whoever is up for some fun - she can happily be placed with or without a resident dog playmate!! Her wonderful nature extends to cats too where she displays great behaviour around them 🐶

Luna sleeps through the night, getting the hang of house training and her lead walking will begin very shortly 🦴

Todd is just four months old and anticipated to be medium to large in size currently weighing around nine kilograms 🐾

Teddy bear look alike Todd is part of the Spring Bud Litter who are available for adoption!! Todd is a typical bouncy, fun and loveable puppy who’s truly a bundle of cuteness and of course fluff - this handsome boy absolutely loves people and would really like to find his humans who will continue to play with him lots!! Todd is of medium energy so enjoys his playtime but then crashes for his well earned puppy naps - someone will be lucky to adopt this fluff ball 💙

Todd gets along well with other dogs and enjoys being in his siblings company, he can happily be placed with or without a resident dog waiting his arrival home!! As his is only a baby, Todd will require basic puppy training - he has been vaccinated and microchipped 🦴

Handsome Edgar is looking for his forever home!! 💙

Edgar is a medium sized two year old 🐾

Unfortunately Edgar really didn’t have the best start to life after arriving from Romania as a very scared puppy and sadly went straight into kennels where he spent most of his life so far until he received a foster offer - he hasn’t looked back since!! Edgar is now thriving and gaining confidence more and more, his favourite activity is to gallop around at the speed of light with happiness and excitement - its amazing to see him go from such a nervous state to now finding life enjoyable and fun. Edgar is still worried around new people so he needs someone who understands that he will be unsure to start with but once he has settled in, you willl have a four legged best friend for life - he is a very loving and loyal boy who loves being fussed over and given treats of course!! 🦴

Edgar gets along well with other dogs and shows no aggression in the slightest, he can happily be homed with or without a playmate!! Edgar is housetrained, travels well in the car especially when he knows his heading to a doggy secure field, neutered and has begun lead walking - this has all been done in a secure environment as Edgar can panic in new situations outside of the home so continued training will be required 🌿

Charming bachelor still on the market - seeking love, cuddles and many treats 🦴

Our little Milo 💙

Milo is a small sized one year old weighing approximately twelve kilograms of pure love!! 🐾

Sadly his current owner is no longer able to love and care for him due to circumstances outwith their control so Milo is seeking a new family!! Milo goes by the name Cooper. Milo is a delightful and loveable lad who absolutely loves his people dearly, he becomes your little shadow and will do anything to please you!! Milo knows all the basic commands and will happily sit and wait patiently for his food, he isn’t a fussy eater and will devour whatever is in his bowl. Milo is a wonderful dog who could happily sit there and be loved on all day, cuddles are his favourite - can we find him a home where snuggles are unlimited 👀

Milo gets along well with other dogs once introduced, he absolutely loves playing and may benefit from having a resident play companion!! Milo is housetrained, crate trained, can be left and has been neutered!! Milo walks well on the lead and enjoys getting out and about, he is currently walked twice a day. He is good with visitors to the home once introduced, has never shown any type of aggression towards anyone and is good with children although he hasn’t been around many since being an adopted!! Milo can be reactive on his walks towards other dogs and would benefit from a home who will help Milo mange this - Hikes up the hills would be his absolute favourite 🌿

Milo is a nervous boy but very happy and comfortable in his own surroundings - he is a great little man 🏡

Introducing handsome little Ambrose!! 👋🏼

Ambrose is a small to medium three year old male 👀

This little lad is also known as Albie and sadly his owner has had a change in circumstances and can no longer care for him - Can we help find Ambrose a new home? A home with a spare spot on the sofa? 🐾

Ambrose is practically perfect - he is super cuddly, affectionate and makes a wonderful companion!! Ambrose absolutely loves human interaction especially being brushed, stoked and giving and receiving cuddles. He is great with everyone he meets, inside and outside the home - Ambrose has quickly gotten used to children as young as four years of age. He will happily take himself off to his quiet place under the table or in the hall whenever he needs some peace. Ambrose is really chilled back and relaxed in nature so he will only occasionally play with a rope toy or an interactive treat ball!! He isn’t much of a fussy eater either but does like meat onto of his dry for some more flavours. Ambrose is the dearest, loving and fun soul and this is a very sad situation for all involved 🤞🏼

Ambrose is housetrained, can be left, sleeps through the night, isn’t destructive in the slightest, has been neutered and fully up to date with all his vaccinations!! Ambrose walks on the lead and enjoys his quieter strolles - he isn’t high energy at all or particularly athletic so he is more than happy with an hour walk everyday. He is not great with cats, chickens and mice 🦴

Ambrose gets along well with his foster siblings and all get along perfectly well, with no issues at all - he needs to find a home with a resident dog!! 🐶

His only foible is reactivity to other dogs he sees when outside of the home and he will pull to get to them. Welcome lovely Lo**ta!! 👋🏼

Lo**ta is a one year old Labrador 🤍

Lo**ta was part of a sterilisation campaign where they neutered/spay street dogs in hopes to cut down the number of homeless dogs - after being spayed, Lo**ta was went to be released back out but thankfully our rescuer stepped in. We are now hoping to help beautiful Lo**ta find her forever home!! Lo**ta is a very friendly and gentle girl who got a gorgeous blonde coat and big brown puppy dog eyes - she is truly beautiful, inside and out 👼🏼

Lo**ta gets along well with other dogs and can happily be placed with or without a resident doggy pal!! She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped 🦴

Lo**ta is ready to become a cherished family member and travel home - she’s currently in Romania!! 🤞🏼

Introducing this adorable baby, Pudding 💙 Just three months of age and anticipated to remain small in size weighing approximately twelve kilograms 👀 Pudding is part of the Santa paws litter who’s now available for adoption!! Pudding hasn’t has the best start after being found discarded without a mother in sight, his eyes had barely open and he had already been let down by humans. Since being rescued, Pudding has been having fun with his siblings and having lots of play time - bouncing around being a typical puppy but even with this, pudding is desperate to find the comforts of a home with a family who will surround him with love!! Our special boy, Hershey 🐾 Have you ever seen such an adorable boy? 👀 Sweet Hershey is only one years old and is on the small side of medium 💙 Our wonderful rescuer who has taken this little man in was greeted by Hershey every time he popped into the local village, Hershey knew exactly who he was and always ran over in joy!! Hershey was extremely grateful to be fed and loved upon - Hershey showed his appreciation. After finding out that Hershey didn’t belong to anyone, our rescuer took Hershey into his care without a second thought and is now looking after him until his forever home comes along!! You can see by the videos just how lovely natured and gentle he is, Hershey loves people - all he wants is to be loved by a family of his very own. He recently went to the vets to get all his vaccinations and showed everyone what a sweet boy he was, he truly is a special puppy!! 🦴 Hershey gets along well with other dogs and accepts all his new dog friends, he can happily be placed with or without a resident doggy pal!!
