Next to him was always the best way to wake up.......
The best way to wake up. Curled up with my hero.
This page is to chronicle my beloved Jake, and his battle against Hemangiosarcoma. We will be doing
Next to him was always the best way to wake up.......
The best way to wake up. Curled up with my hero.
His smile still warms my heart
Jake's on the move again today. Getting closer to home. We are both ready for our own bed.
This is dermal hemangiosarcoma. If you see this on any of your pets, get them removed IMMEDIATELY and have a scan of their insides done as well. Once it moves subdermal and then visceral, it is likely too late to do anything about it since it is so metastatic
That face........ He knew exactly how to get comfortable
It's been nine long years today since the journey horribly began. I still miss my hero every day
Any help is appreciated for the animals of Ukraine.
Help Us Rescue Animals From The Frontlines In Ukraine As the… Global Animal Rescue And Response needs your support for Help Animals Escape The Frontlines In Ukraine
Any help from Jake's for the work being done in Ukraine would be appreciated. Many animals have had no choice in the situations they found themselves in. Jake would approve of helping others
This never gets old......
Too bad the sunsets and weather did not cooperate with us. But the trip was not all sunshine and rainbows to begin with
A promise kept to have a sunrise together on the east coast and a sunset on the west coast. It did not quite cooperate with us for the sunset, but maybe it was just setting the proper mood for the moment since it was rather somber
Promises kept while tears were shed tonight. What I'd give to have him in my arms for it.
Exactly 8 years since the ultimate heartache happened.
RIP to my hero.....
I'm breaking inside right now. Jake crossed over the Rainbow Bridge at 2146 tonight. I was with him and despite the best efforts, there wasn't anything that could be done.
Smiling for what was our last night together
Today is THAT horrible day........
Almost noon and he's literally still hanging on.
This was such a special day.... It was the last good day we would have with Jake. The next six days would be an absolute nightmare.....
Look at how happy Jake is in this video. He just wanted to find that JR guy....
Jake at Southfork Ranch
Our last sunset in Dallas..........
Jake's smiling at the sun sets on his final night in Dallas. He's had such a great time in Texas, and met so many wonderful people here. He totally needs to come back through here again soon.
My happy hero!!!!
Smiling and happy at The Alamo. Jake made all sorts of new friends today!!!!

Even 11 years ago right after coming home, the bond we had was inseparable. Jake so adored her....... #JakesBucketList
We're on our way to the ER for blood. She just can't wait until tomorrow at this point. I need to get her PCV levels up before the spleen can come out, and her physiological signs are all telling me she has to go NOW. #JakesBucketList
We're on our way to see about some blood for Snowflake along with her big little brother Jack. It helped Jake with his strength and she's still showing that she's not ready yet.... #JakesBucketList
Four years ago, Jake had to rest up for the adventures he didn't know we're coming. The day I took this video, I had no idea we are going to be embarking on them either. Four days later, we were in the road, and Jake's Bucket List was born. #JakesBucketList
When your vicious guard dog did not get the memo about being vicious.... #JakesBucketList
This is a video I have never posted until today. It was at the Charleston RiverDogs game on our first trip, where Jake got to walk the field at Bark In The Park. He was so happy and proud, and it was a very special moment for both of us. Right after this, we made a beeline for his helicopter ride. #JakesBucketList #MyHero
Sadly, today the Volvo drove it's last miles. Just like Jake, the Volvo went it's way. We were doing 75 and all the dash lights came on. Then messages started coming up before the car lost some power. After that, it smelled like someone blew out a candle or some plastic. So I pulled over to see if I had run over a bag or something. I came around the passenger side, and when I opened the door, there was some smoke coming out of the defroster vents. Then it started coming out of the main AC vents. I turned the car off, and within 60 seconds it was fully engulfed. So many memories were made in this car. So many adventures were taken. So many people were met along the way. This is the best car I have ever had, and I hate to see this happen to it. #JakesBucketList
