Rescues are stepping up more than they actually have the capacity to because we all have such a heart for saving the lives of animals. Just like gas and groceries and everything has gone up in price… vet prices have gone up dramatically.

This boy makes me laugh daily. He’s seriously such a character and I adore him so much. From a dumped dog that was urgent dog on the rescue list at the shelter to living the fabulous life with us. He’s going to make a family really happy one day. Until then I will give him all the love until he finds his forever home!❤️
We are all drowning! We are closed for intake until further notice. Until we can catch up and pay off our debt and get some dogs adopted. So please stop asking and tagging us. We are full. I’ve been so sick all week so Ive been behind on posting and fundraising as well. We still need to raise funds for our massive vet bills and need more dog food and supplies. It really never ends when you run a rescue 24/7. We are 100% foster based that means we need committed foster homes to save dogs. We don’t rescue dogs just to put them back in a kennel in boarding. If you don’t have a plan then don’t rescue a dog. You back them for life! I’ve spoken about this topic so many times, but we keep seeing rescues swoop in for dogs that just end up in boarding and then people forget about them and they just deteriorate. Then there’s those rescues who just abandon the dogs in boarding because they can’t even pay the bills. As a rescue, you are the backup plan so you always figure it out. It’s sad but we can’t save them all so please stop taking in dogs you can’t care for. Their lives matter too!

Warning!! This is hard to watch! I came home to Truffle barely breathing and her tongue blue. I had to rush her to emergency to go under surgery! I’m sitting in the car crying my eyes out just hoping she’s going to make it. I need help with funds to cover this emergency vet bill which will be a high few thousands. We really need a foster or adopter for Bruno as he’s really stressed out at my house and would do better in a different environment. He deserves a family of his own who will love him and give him the best life! He’s been with us since last summer. Bruno the boxer is such a fun and goofy boy. He has boxer puppy energy and uses his mouth for touch everything. Bruno doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, but when in a new setting or with unfamiliar dogs he puts on a tough guy attitude on leash or when inside his crate. We have been working with him and redirecting him to correct that behavior. When he’s out he’s great with people and most dogs. He does prefer the female dogs better. Bruno is treat motivated and wants to learn. He has lots of energy to burn, but will settle down in his crate. He loves to cuddle up and get lots of attention! He would benefit of daily walks and someone active to work with him. Bruno loves his toys and especially loves to play tug. He also loves water!💙😍
Bruno really needs a home that will continue to help him thrive and teach him the ropes. Bruno can come on strong with new dogs, but in a very playful way. So he would do best with tolerant dogs that don’t mind his awkwardness. Slow intros is a must! He is a 2 years old, on the smaller side around 45lbs. He has been fully vetted, neutered, vaccinated, and chipped. We are located in Sacramento and need to be close enough for meets and a in person home check. A puppies worst nightmare.. PARVO😭💔
This little guy is fighting for his life at the shelter. His sad sick face is killing me. I met him and his brother a few days ago and were planning on rescuing them the next day. I never even got a chance to post them. Well then I get a message from the shelter they tested positive for parvo and symptomatic. The little brother passed away over night and now this one is isolated and being treated.
My heart is broken for them💔. This could have easily been prevented by being a responsible owner and vaccinating your puppy. Now one puppy has lost his life, this one is very sick, and others were exposed. Please pray for him that he keep fighting and gets through this. I have high hopes he will and then we can take him in! We do need an emergency foster home for him that can keep him isolated and quarantined for a bit.
Sookie eye removal
Sweet Sookie had her eye removed 2 days ago and is back at her foster home healing up and getting lots of extra love❤️. It was a rough surgery, but she will feel so much better without all that pain and pressure. She will still be beautiful as a one eyed gremlin! Happy Thursday from the naked gremlins Scarlett and Rhett!❤️🥰 The sick mange puppies we rescued from Stanislaus Animal Services Agency a little over 3 weeks ago when they put out an urgent call! They are the cutest boxer siblings and are finally feeling much better. They slept for like 2 weeks straight and now they have all their puppy energy! They are hilarious with so much personality! Scarlett and Rhett need fosters homes so they can bloom, together or separate. We are also taking adoption applications for when they are ready so go fill one out on our website.
