Murphy getting some fresh air. Glad the rain stopped
Her name is Lola she was a show girl. With yellow patches in her fur but no dress cut down to there.
Honestly people this little lemon miringue is much too sweet to be hitting up the Copacabana.
One water on the rocks please!
Way too hot to be doing our usual walks and it's only 10 am!! Taking it real steady today plenty of shade by a nice little steam and lots of sniffy games to help burn off energy.
What a lovely DRY walk today.
So while I was out having lively sniffy walks with Meg.
Evies managed to get old man Murph round the block with her Grandad. Girls got the magic touch for dogs and she's coming for my job!!
Adventure walks with Evie.
The apprentice came out with us again today.
Had a little picnic at the top of carlton bank watched the paragliders, then came down the bike track and through the trees.
Murphy snugs 😍🥰
What a beautiful way to end the week. A lovely walk and a bath for the bog monster 🙈
Zeus 1
Ash 0
Look at the Handsome boy Sam posing amongst the daisy's 😍
Had a little helper on todays walk. (Burst pipe at school) we'll call it works experience. Loving that it was quite over cast and windy today made for a pleasent walk
It's getting Hot, Hot, Hot!
I have put together 5 ways you can help keep your four legged friends cool during this hot weather.
Please understand and feel assured that during these hot days the amount of walking we do with your dogs has been drastically reduced. Instead we find ways to play games with your pups in cool shaded areas and wet areas. Still allowing the to burn off energy and get mental stimulation safely.
So today we took the dogs up to cod beck but deviated away from the reservoir and up to the moors. Beautiful walk and a beautiful day. Plus I got to coo over the sheep 😍 the young cows were very pretty too.
So yesterday I got to Megs walk to realise Bailey had stolen the ball out of my coat pocket 🤦🏻♀️
So I pulled out the sniffing games.
Does this mean Meg was getting less exercise? Not at all. Infact quite the opposite sniffing uses more energy than running/walking.
Some benefits of scent games:
🐾 Mentally stimulating.
🐾Physically stimulating.
🐾Low impact.
🐾20 minutes of sniffing is the equivalent of 60 minutes walking.
🐾Sniffing triggers the release of endorphins, dopamine, and other neurotransmitters that induce feelings of pleasure and relaxation in dogs.
🐾Brings down their stress and anxiety levels.
Some photos from this weeks walks
Look what showed up!! Been a very long time since I've updated my business cards
Safe to say today was a wet one. I think only Benji boy enjoyed the walk and everyone was stuck on lead. Even had to poor the water put of our boots afterwards 😂
A mix of photos from this week's walks
I don't feel any body could ever make a video that captures a dogs cheekiness as much as this.. I love it!
Todays lovely walk. May look cloudy on these photos but weather was amazing.
Benji sniffed every blade of grass and checked every tiny animal made hole. Breagha Flo and Ziggy emptied my treat pouch. Hattie and Archie true to cocker nature nose to the ground, quartering.
Happy Birthday old man! I promise I tried to give him the day off he just loves the dogs too much. Most of us know him as Dad (let's face it calling him Ken is just wrong) a couple of us know him as grandad an no doubt he'd still be the one spoiling them on his birthday. And the dogs know him as the one more generous with the treats.
Have a great day.
So my lovely customers we are well into the season of the ticks!
Those dreaded little blood suckers.
This is just a reminder to make sure that you keep up to date with your tick treatment. I will try and pull off as many as I see before they get chance to latch on. But with some dogs thats easier said than done.
Have a photo of Alfie with something questionable (and a little smelly) smeared on his shoulder.
So yesterday we had an amazing walk. Margot came and joined us which is always delightful. Ziggy was nice and chilled. We had a quiet day so we got to bring our 3 crazy Spaniels and best of all we had a huge win with Ida. Who must have had what ever Ziggy was on because she didn't react to the sheep the strange dogs or the strange people!!!
We got nice and muddy (nothing new there) a nice change of scenery and lovely weather!
Windy one today. The twins (Archie and Sienna) doing their usual nose to floor "we'll see you at the other end." Zeus with the patience of an absolute saint. Ziggy actually taking a calming page out of Zeus's book. (Only around zeus though of course)
The audacity!! Somebody moved our rock!! Been a while since we've had coffee and cake here. Bit of a muddy walk too but it's nice to change up the scenery a bit
What is a dog walkers greatest most elusive wish??
A durable pair of shoes that can stand the test of time and weather.
Ps. These ones lasted 3 months. Next recommendation anyone?
What an exciting, busy and exhausting weekend it has been for myself and Echo. We got to meet some of the amazing Mentors at the DTC. Both of us have been learning new skills, new ways to train, strengthening my relationship with Echo, getting a new training mindset and meeting other amazing talented trainers.
Plus Echo didn't figure out how to break out of her crate till day 2 😂
It's a good job I was dropping the golden bog monster off at the groomers and not home today 😅
Come on Murph let's go catch some bad guys.... Err I mean let's go for a walk 🤫
Murphy looking ready for anything in his support vest ❤️
I got so distracted with my Canine Body Language exam I missed The Hairy Hikers Birthday!!!! 10 whole years. Its a good job I passed that exam!
It has been such a wonderful 10 years, I have had some amazing dogs come and go. Many I have watched grow from puppies. I have learnt lots and still learning plenty. I've shed tears, had plenty of laughs, lots of bumps and bruises. Most of all lots of love and cuddles. It has been a great pleasure working with your precious babies all this time and I hope I'm fortunate enough to make another 10 years.
Thank you to all my customers that got me this far New and Old

How could I capture Megs personality.... like this! So after spending a small fortune on toys to help enrich and burn some of the abundance of energy this little lady has it's safe to say I finally won. Yesterday I pulled out the tug-e-nuff toys and its safe to say that the score was: tug-e-nuff 1 Meg 0.
Uh oh that cold white stuffs back!! Ida clearly hated the stuff. #snow #dogwalkerslife #dogsofinstagram
Nice chilled Fridays and Rosie tiny twigs. No legs were battered because Rosie is possibly the only considerate dog we have when it comes to beating us up 😂 #lablove #dogwalk #dogwalkerslife
