Are you that special someone who gives a dog a second chance?

After foster care and an unsuccessful adoption trial - through no fault of his own - Gilli is looking for a special someone to give him the stable, loving home he deserves to see out his senior years.

Gilli's journey has touched many hearts. His previous owner had a terrible accident and could no longer care for him leading to Gilli being surrendered to Adelaide Pets Alive!

Although Gilli had a trial adoption, it didn't work out because he struggled with being left home alone and outside. His potential adopter did however find him lovable and affectionate, but realised he wasn't the right fit.

What we have learned about Gilli is that he is a social dog who needs companionship, whether from another dog or his people. He's playful and young for nine, he loves daily walks, car rides and prefers being indoors.

We are urgently seeking a special person who can offer Gilli the stable, loving home he deserves. If you think you could be the one, or would like some more information about this beautiful gentleman, please contact us today.

Foster Carer Needed!!

Mako is still in need of a foster carer, if someone could foster him temporarily until we can find something more permeant that would also help. Mako is a lovely well-behaved dog and just needs a place to stay.

Through no fault of her own Mako needs a new foster home.
G’day. I’m Mako. I’m a Kelpie x, around 12 months old. Let me cut to the chase. I need to find a foster carer, and fast.

I don’t know what to tell you that you couldn’t guess for yourself. I like hanging around people, doing what they’re doing – road trips, long walks, ball games, toy destruction, sleeping, whatever! I’m smart and know all the basic stuff. I’m up for learning tricks and more advanced games, if you are.

I don’t bark much. I like to chase things like cats. I’m not a jumper or escape artist. I like to hang with other dogs. Bottom line: I’m a very good boy.

No more beating around the bush, I’m in a bit of a hurry. If you’d like me to come stay with your family, give me shout.
There is no fee while you are fostering Mako, but if you should decide to adopt there will be an adoption fee.

While fostering Scruffer Lovers will cover Food, Vet care, worming and Flea treatment.

Urgent Foster carer needed!!

Dobby has a beautiful nature and adores people. He is doing well with his training and needs someone who can continue to guide him with his training and reinforce some boundaries.

Hi, I’m Dobby and I’m a 9-month-old cattle dog cross. I’m also known as Dob Dob or Dobs as my foster family call me.

I am a very active and affectionate boy and will take any opportunity to try to hop on your lap for a cuddle, I’m a huge snuggle bunny.

I’m super friendly and I love children. I am currently living with twin boys who are 4 and a half years old, who I absolutely adores.

I am very food orientated but that makes training easy as I’ll do anything for a tasty treat. I love a good walk; I just love to explore and take everything in. I have been told I have come a long way with my training. I walk well on a lead and I know basic commands like sit, stay. I will however need a little further encouragement to deal with my jumping up when I meet people, as I just gets so excited to see people. But my foster family says I am getting better.

I haven’t had much socialisation with other dogs or cats, but my foster family says I don’t seem too fazed by them when out on walks.
I don’t mind birds thought and I will happily sit on the couch watching them eat my food out his bowl with no issues.

I am toilet trained, I sleep in my crate all night long and I just love car rides.

I am a beautiful, sweet boy who is looking for my forever home. I think I would be suited to an active person or family. I may be 22kgs; but I think I am a lap dog and can’t wait to give you all my love and cuddles.

Hi there. My name is Charlie. I am currently quite small, but I am getting bigger quite quickly. But I haven’t outgrown my love of toys yet. I hope I never do!

While I am growing in size, I am also growing in many other ways too. I am learning all the time. I have mastered the most important skill of all – toilet training! So I am ready to move into the next phase of my life.

I’d like to find a family of my own. Now, that said, families come in all shapes and sizes. At the moment, I am living in quite a large family with lots of dogs and children, and there is even a cat!

I’ve been told that I am an absolute delight. I mean, humans are likely to say this about you once you sleep through and you’re toilet trained. But apparently it goes deeper than that – I am also very cute and cuddly.

I’d rather like to meet you and see how we get along. You never know, we could be family!

Hi everyone!

My name is Matilda but my foster family call me “Tilly” for short. My name means “mighty in battle” and although I’m a strong little girl, I don’t have a mean bone in my body to battle anyone! I’m an 8 week old staffy cross.

I’m a very independent little girl, and I’m quite happy to amuse myself with a toy, but when I’m finished, I love nothing more than a snuggle with my foster mum. I love to snuggle into her neck and sleep for hours!

I’m mastering the art of sit and wait. But when I see my breakfast and dinner, I get a little bit excited and eat as fast as I can so I will probably need a special bowl to slow me down.

I’m working hard on my toilet training and I have had no accidents in my playpen over night and I run to the grass to do my business as soon as my foster mum wakes up. She gets very excited when I do this!

My foster family has a grumpy bulldog and two cats. I’m learning my boundaries with them quickly. I do love to chase the cat but only to play. I never bite or attack them!

I’d love a family to call my own. One that will play with me and take me in the car! I’m happy to play alone but I do love when the balls get thrown for me to chase! After I play, I’d love nothing more than a snuggle with my human! I look forward to meeting you for those snuggles soon!

Their personalities probably will change over time with being in care and developing.

FOSTER TO ADOPT

Hi, I'm Humphrey as in Humphrey Bogart. I'm part of the movie star litter. I'm a mixed breed little cutie that will be medium to large when I am all grown up.

I currently live with my 2 foster sisters and my real sister, so as you see I get along well with other dogs. There is also a cat here but I don't pay much attention to it. I am a fairly chilled out fellow and don’t mind being on my own. I play a bit of rough and tumble with my sister but am more gentle with my foster sisters. I am also good at reading other dogs cues.

I would be best suited to children 8 and up as I'm still a pup and am learning my manners. My toilet training is coming along and I use puppy pads most of the time. When I have eaten or woken up my foster mum lets me out and I go to the toilet on the grass.

I sleep in my crate at night and am happy to go in there when I need to. I know the command "come" and am learning "out" to stay outside when I go through the door.

So If you want a chilled new addition to your home, I'm your boy.

We went to check on Gilli today. 🐶

Foster or Foster to Adopt!!

Hey there. Quick question: Do you need a Buddy?

Trick question really. Of course you need a Buddy! Everyone does. But I had a special Buddy in mind – ME!

I’m a puppy, you see. The best kind of Buddy! I’m 4 months old, playful, sweet, and cuddly. Oh, and cute. Very cute.

I’m currently living with a family that includes a cat and little kid. I love all kinds of toys, all kinds of games, and all kinds of fun. I like meeting up with other dogs too. I need some training, but then who doesn’t, right?

I reckon we could do a foster to adopt arrangement – like try before you buy – just to be sure that we are all happy with each other. But we will be, won’t we? Because I’m your Buddy!

Hi everyone!

My name is Bill but my foster family have nicknamed me “Billy”. I’m a beautiful cream colour with piercing blue/green eyes. My foster mum affectionately says I’m “handsome” and that always puts a pep in my step.

I’m a gorgeous and affectionate little boy. I love my foster family so much I follow them everywhere. I just love to be around humans. They give good treats and play games with me. I also looovveee my ears being scratched! It’s the best way to put me straight to sleep!

I’m a clever boy and I already know how to sit for a treat. I’m working hard on my recall but I’m slowing learning that if I come when I’m called I get a treat. I learn very quickly if I’m given a treat afterwards!!

I’m getting the hang of toilet training and I’ll cry at the back door if I need to go out. I do have an accident occasionally but that’s only if my foster family don’t hear me crying to go out.

I’m a total gentleman when it comes to my food. I’m slow eater and tend to sit back and let my sister eat so my foster mum feeds me separately to make sure I get my fair share. I’m a good boy because I share my toys and chewies and don’t growl when someone wants to take them.

I’d love a forever family that would be able to include me in their everyday lives. While I’m ok on my own, I do prefer the company of humans or other dogs. I love to play and chase my foster family’s cats but I never want to hurt them, I just want to wrestle. They love to play with me because I’m so gentle.

I’d love to meet you really soon for cuddles and ear scratches and hopefully you love me as much as my foster mum does .

Hi Chabarney, I’m a 12-month-old Jack Russell x Chihuahua. If you want a happy and confident little pooch, then tick, tick – that’s me!

I’m a social butterfly who loves other dogs and humans! I get along with other dogs big or small especially the female kind I love them a little bit too much! I also love playing ball or tug of war with my humans too! It’s so much fun! And once playtime is done, then it’s chill out time!

We could chill out together, watch some TV – anything at all, I’m easy going! But I am also a bit of an escape artist, so good secure fencing at the bottom of the fence is a must – I need a secure yard!

So, what do you say can you give me a place to stay until I find that special someone, who knows that special someone maybe you!!
