Our Mission
We’re pig people just like YOU! Our mission is to pamper piggies big and small. We believe no pig should be unhealthy, unwanted or unloved. No pig should be re homed because of false advertising, misleading information, zoning or lack of education & resources. No pig owner should feel helpless and misguided. We also aim to educate and empower pig parents and help strengthen the community around pig ownership.
We know pigs are not like any other pet. They are incredibly smart, witty, resourceful, and challenging. The bond between pig and human, once formed, is much like that of a child and a mother. Just like having a child, pig ownership requires a great deal of patience, love, and support. That’s where OinkBox can help!
We are more than just a box™, we partner with other small business, both locally and throughout the US. We provide aide to rescues, fosters, shelters and organizations that align with our beliefs. We help educate the public about “mini pigs”. Did you know that over 85% (conservatively estimated) of pet pigs end up in fosters, rescues or shelters? WE HATE THAT! We are dedicated to helping reduce the rehoming rate and push the ADOPT NOT SHOP movement. We want pig parents to know what works and have the tools + resources to feel educated and empowered. You can help us in this mission by joining the #ForThePigs campaign and by sharing your pictures/ videos and resources using that hashtag.
OinkBox was created by pig parents, for pig parents. Each Oinkbox was designed to address specific challenges or needs we ourselves have faced with our curly tailed, snooty friends. We’ve packed each box full of things to keep your little piggy happy & squealing with delight! We feel it is our duty as responsible humans and as an ethical company to provide services and products that support other small business, leave a minimal environmental impact and give back to rescue/sanctuary non-profits. For you, the pig parent, we’ve included informational tid-bits relevant to that box and its contents to help you be the best pig parent you can be.
