Lovett N Leash It Dog Gear What started out as a hobby making my own dog tugs, leashes and now collars has turned into a bit o Let me introduce myself. We are based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

My name is Samantha and I am the owner of Lovett N Leash It Dog Gear and I am owned by a pack of Weimaraners, which is how this all started. What started out as a hobby making leashes and tugs for my own dogs has transitioned into a small business. Through word of mouth and the magic of facebook the support has been amazing among my friends and fellow competitors. I first started selling my produc

I donated an embroidered slip lead to an online auction to LEASH WPG Locating Elusive and Skittish Hounds. They are a local group who do amazing work to help lost dogs. Archer’s mom was the lucky winner and chose this color combo for him. He is a Bouvier des Flandres. This is the first time I have made for this breed 💚💙

They are double sided embroidery and slip on to the leash with a little help from a wire coat hanger.

I can’t see. I’m numb. I’m broken 💔
After an emotionally, mentally and physically exhausting weekend I had to make the hardest decision there is when you have dogs in your family. My sweet boy Zumi has taken his last high jump from this world.
Zumi did it all in his life. He was a shy sensitive guy but had a few selected people whom he loved.
One of his first jobs was to be the logo for my little business Lovett N Leash It Dog Gear. He played agility for me and slowly but surely we obtained his ATChC. We both loved flyball and once trained was a solid rockstar. We obtained his Onyx 20,000 pts but didn’t return to flyball after covid so was one year short for his IRON dog. Zumi’s most favourite was wowing the crowds with his effortless high jumping skills. Many times clearing 11 bars at demos. He was amazing to watch and it was just something that came naturally to him. He became a blood donor later in life than most dogs because I wasn’t sure it would be for him. We gave it a try and like with everything else he was an exceptional donor. We only were able to donate 8 times but I’m glad he could do his part to help other pups ❤️
In 2020 I thought I was going to lose him. He became very sick with an unknown illness. I was very lucky that he got through whatever it was and we could have 3 more years of cuddles on the couch.
Thank you to Grant Grant Park Animal Hospital and Dr. Jonas Watson for helping us this morning with a very peaceful and compassionate goodbye.
Rest in piece my sweet boy. Family pictures will never be the same 😢. The girls and I will have to figure out meandering life without our little man.

You will be missed with all of my being.

Well got the news I was hoping would be better. Sadly because of Phantom’s recent surgery and the results she is no longer able to donate for the Canadian Animal Blood Bank 😢
I was hoping we would be able to continue but I have confirmed with Michael Philippot (CABB) that for the safety of Phantom our donation journey has come to an end. So her 20th donation that we made in May 2023 was her last. I am happy we were able to help so many dogs along the way and hope those who meet the criteria will look into donating.
She was an awesome donor and loved and trusted Michael ❤️

Just had to share this beautiful experience that I was so fortunate to capture while I was out kayaking on the La Salle River tonight. The bottom is a video. 🌈

Well we decided to start the birthday celebrations early. My best boy Zumi and the silhouette behind the logo will be 12 tomorrow. I still cannot believe it 😳 So thankful after a mysterious illness that was never identified that he is still with me and has had no other problems or symptoms since. So tonight I joined them for cake. It was different being on the other side of the camera 🙃 And well you can see how it plays out. 😂

One of the Lovett N Leash It pack had a birthday today. Happy birthday and Happy Earth Day to Bonsai 😊
