SPOTLIGHT SUNDAY!

This is Hemingway…he was adopted and slowly became sick. They took him to their vet and the vet ran tests and gave them the bad news that he was very sick. Hemingway has FIP. Several years ago FIP was considered 100% fatal but with new treatment options it’s 90% curable! Hemingway was returned to rescue to go back with his foster where he’s comfortable for his treatment. He’s doing well and has received his first dose of treatment.

🌻🌻🌻 August Lottery Raffle 🌻🌻🌻

Ok, guys so these next couple of months are always really tough for us. All the kittens born in April and May are now due for their Spay/Neuter surgeries and Rabies vaccines. We have over 50😲animals due for surgery in the next 2 months. While adoption fees cover most of this cost, many of these poor babies haven't been adopted yet so the cost comes out of our reserves which are currently in the negative. 🙀

We are working on some in-person fundraisers but they are time and labor-intensive and right now our volunteers are spread too thin fostering and transporting all these little babies. 💖

Proceeds from this raffle will all go straight to the vet to cover our balance and upcoming surgeries.

UPDATE!

Look at those eye balls showing!!! The new medication is really helping. Keep those prayers coming. He still has a lot of congestion and is not eating on his own yet.

SHOUTOUT SATURDAY!

For this week we’d like to highlight Julie K as our volunteer of the week. She’s been helping with TNR, transporting, checking on the cats at Petsmart, and fostering! She helps at our rescue clinics as well on top of working a normal job.

UPDATE!!! Knox is improving even more. Today he was switched to a different eye medication to help with the swelling in and around his eyes. He’s still being syringe fed but is doing well otherwise.

1 year ago Greta was adopted from us and has settled into her adoptive home. She has been renamed Chanel and she is flourishing! Look at how cute she is 🥰

UPDATE POST!

Knox is doing well in his foster home. He is being syringe fed as he won’t eat without assistance yet. He’s gaining weight slowly and his eyes are looking better. He does have lice as well but is too small for treatment yet so is getting baths and lice combed.

PSA!!!

Microchip your pets!

Esmeralda was adopted from us and microchipped (as all our animals are). Today she was found outside and taken to a shelter in Middleburg Heights. Due to having a microchip we were called and able to reunite her with her adopter who went to pick her up immediately!

We do microchips twice a month (on Sundays) for $15 with free registration. If interested in getting a microchip message us to schedule an appointment!

We lost little Oaklynne last night. She passed in her sleep between feedings. Her body simply couldn’t handle the stress and time without food she suffered. RIP little girl…you were loved ❤️

Another new emergency intake from a TNR area. His poor eyes are so damaged from infection they may not be able to be saved but he’s on medication, being syringe fed, and being loved in a foster home. Please pray for this precious baby. Name pending!

Shy Cat Club

Muriel is a little over a year old and was originally found outside. She was fed by the homeowner who then won her over. She’s been inside for awhile and has adjusted to people. She would love to find a forever home.

CUDDLES

Cuddles is our longest resident. He was originally part of a TNR initiative but found to be friendly after her warmed up to his foster. Cuddles has been with us for 4 years. He would love a forever home. He’s picky about his cat friends so would need a meet if you have other cats. He’s very cuddly once he settles in and gets used to you.

❗️❗️Grumpy Needs a Foster Home ❗️❗️ Grumpy is a sweet, happy-go-lucky guy but, as often happens, he is starting to deteriorate in boarding. We DESPERATELY need a foster for him. He is an almost 5-year-old mix breed. He was adopted out as a puppy but his owner passed away very unexpectedly and because we don't have any open foster homes he has been stuck in boarding for months. Prior to being boarded, he was great with all dogs and people and although he likes cats he does chase them. He is getting stressed in boarding and got into a fight with another dog, so while we still believe he is good with most dogs he may be dog selective or just may need some extra time to decompress from being boarded so long. He really is a sweet boy he just needs to get back into a loving home CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP??? ❗️❗️FOSTER OR ADOPTER URGENTLY NEEDED❗️❗️ ❤️ Grumpy came to Storm's Angels as a puppy and was one of our 7 Dwarves litter but his personality isn't Grumpy at all. ❤️ Grumpy is a sweet, loving boy. He has been a victim of black dog discrimination since we got him. He had less white on him than the rest of his litter so he was the last puppy to get adopted. Black dogs are the least likely to be adopted and take the longest time find homes ❤️ He was finally adopted and lived with his fantastic mom for several years. Unfortunately, his mom passed away very unexpectedly and he was turned into the kennel by her family. 😌 Since he had a microchip the kennel could see that he was a Storm's Angels alum and contacted us. He was in a foster home for several weeks but the foster's cats were too stressed having him there so we had to find other accommodations for him. We had no other open fosters so he is currently in boarding at a cost of $200 a week. 💲💲 Over $800 a month is unsustainable and we won't be able to stay afloat paying that for very long. 💔 This poor pup started out in a foster home, got adopted, got surrendered to the kennel, went to a new foster home and is now in boarding and he has done absolutely nothing wrong. He is a happy, dopey lab mix and we need to find a foster or adopter for him ASAP 💔 Grumpy does have a lump on his chest that may need to be removed, we are currently getting a second opinion. This doesn't seem to be too serious just in a tricky location and he will need rest after surgery...we can't have that done while he is still in boarding ❗️❗️ PLEASE PLEASE help us find a place for him. 💲💲If you can't foster please donate to help with boarding costs 🙏🙏If you can't donate please share! DARLING OF THE DAY ♥️ MOSCATO ♥️ 📞 “Oh landlord, I need to report a leak in our roof. The fur on my head keeps getting soaked. Can you please call a plumber? Thank you. Meow.” 📞 Oh, dear sweet Moscato. So he may be a little confused as to why he is getting soaked each time he drinks from the faucet, but when you’re as adorable as he is we find it charming. This cutest of “cow” cats (yes, that’s what they’re called!) is a 3-1/2 month old sweetheart. His foster mom describes him as being funny, loving, curious, fearless and friendly. And he loves to play!
