Well Sonny has had a couple of adventures this week. On Tuesday he followed the neighbor’s blue heeler into the other neighbors property. Sonny jumped over part of a downed fence. But he couldn’t get back over when we called. I had to lift the bottom of the fence for him to crawl under.
Just now we had a doe on our property. First time every since we fenced our property. Sonny decided that he didn’t want the deer 🦌 on his land. He chased it up and down all our fence line until found the place it had entered. I yell at Sonny to Leave it. And he did. Hope Bambi knows that she shouldn’t come this way again.

I went to the vet today. I guess this is going to be my vet from now on. Kira went with me.

My name is Sonny Malone. Last Saturday I was put in a pick-up truck. I didn’t know where I was going. Back to the vet, back to jail.
Well I ended up at this house. There were two other dogs and two people. After a few days all I can say is I must be in heaven.
I get fed 2 times a day. They feed me bake chicken and some green things that I like too. And I get doggie treats when I follow their Instructions.
I can rest/sleep on dog beds or this loveseat. Life can’t get any better.

Welcome Sonny Malone. We all have been missing Sammy and we want to taken in another rescue.

Sonny is fitting in well. Him and Kira are enjoying being around each other. Sonny discovered dog beds and now that’s where he stays when he is not following Suzanne or I around the house.
Last night I put a bed in a spare bed room he followed either the bed or myself into the room. I slept in the spare room and Sonny slept on his bed all night. This morning he found the loveseat.
Most time when a dog enters a strange environment it takes them weeks to adjust. I feel Sonny discovered he found the good life and he’s one happy dog.
PS they said he didn’t care for kibble. I don’t think so. He’s cleaning his bowl of everything. He will be back to his normal weight soon.

We received a couple of messages asking about who Saber was. She was our first German Shepherd. we had 10 plus wonderful and amazing years with this playful soul.

Sammy has joined Saber on the Rainbow Bridge. Sammy had a tough life prior to being rescued. He had a bad case of mange. All his fur was gone and was just skin and bones. The rescue got him healthy and saved him.
When we gave him his forever home he knew he found the good life. He lived seven years with us being loved every minute of every day. Sammy was a great big brother to Reba and Kira. He was my Bubba. Sammy you are gone but you will never be forgotten.
