We work with talented local artisans to create beautiful handcrafted products for your beloved cats and dogs. Crafting each product takes time, skill and attention to detail. A basket weaver, a woodcarver, a leatherworker, a potter, a crocheter and a small group of merry needleworkers make each product by hand. After an incredible 9 years of supporting local artisans and changing shelter animals lives, we closed our wonderful Benji + Moon on the 25th August 2023. Whilst this decision was not an easy one, we knew it was time, having given her everything we have and in return, her having done the same. We are so grateful for your support and loyalty to this big-hearted local brand, with you we created so many beautiful things for our much-loved tails whilst donating over R95 000 to CLAW (Community Led Animal Welfare) and homing 133 dogs (and 9 cats) through B+M Date-a-Dog and our other adoption initiatives. We have changed many lives together, including ours own 〰️With love and memories to the moon and back

We’re excited to host our next Benji + Moon Date-a-Dog at where we will have CLAWbies (rescue dogs from CLAW situated in Durban Deep Roodepoort) journey out to meet you, get some love and if the date goes well, you can give them a new home*.

This is our eighteenth event, so far we have helped 122 shelter dogs (and 9 cats) become much-loved tails.

Come get and give some love to a dog in need.

When: 4th March-5th March 2023

Where: The Linden Market, 45 Thomas Bowler Street, Emmarentia, Johannesburg

Handcrafted in South Africa, Brak Chuck was created by Gravitron, a Cape Town based Special Effects and Fabrication company. The film and events industry is one of the most affected by the COVID 19 pandemic as well as a seasonal industry. They developed this product to keep staff employed and busy going into winter and even further down the line.
