Finn is such a good boy 🥰 Love spending time with him.

Picking up his feet is now becoming a boring thing we just do every time 🙌 So are scratches from the high chair and me leaning over him. He's got big Labrador vibes, just happy to be around, fed, and loved on.

The ponies he's out with are cheeky AF, constantly playing and nibbling each other, but he tends to stay out of it for the most part, unless there's a chance for some grooming; a lover not a fighter haha.

He's getting dark again where he'll be starting to think about his winter coat. I still can't believe he's only been here since Easter, it feels like a lifetime ❤️

Weekend content dump 💕

I've been pretty crap at getting pictures lately, particularly of Mary. It's a blessing and a curse since we're usually too busy 'doing' to stop and get my phone out haha. She did a big long 7+ mile ride Sunday and was a superstar. She's not canter-fit in the slightest, so it was lots of starting with gusto and then running out of puff fairly quickly. I didn't push her, she'll do what she's able and comfortable doing 💜 If I can get her over to the fields fairly regularly then we'll both build our fitness up gradually 🙂💪

The boy was treated to a bit of extra grass in the paddock opposite his field. He was unsure when I asked him to come out of his field gate, but then quickly forgot about his mates once his head was down 😂 I had to pop him in a stable to do his feet as the grass was just tooooo good to stand still for a minute. I gave him a nice sponge down with cold water and lemongrass no-rinse wash, before covering him in phazer fly stuff with the sponge.

My mum sent me this picture from her bedroom of me and our first horse Murphy 💚 She said it how similar it looked to the photo of Finn & I at the June show 🥰 Bonus pic of Moo just 'cause.

Murphy was a stunning CHUNK of a traditional cob. 14'2 and as wide as he was tall, he knew how to get attention in the show ring. Gorgeous boy taught us a lot. Mainly how to land when he dumped you 😂❤️

Big thank you to @robynkiteequineservices for getting on moo for our lesson tonight 🥰 As you may hear on the video I am absolutely full of cold 🤧. I also needed to bring my little dog Ruby with me, as she's horribly afraid of fireworks and couldn't leave her home alone. This mare does make me laugh 😂 At the very back taking her time, right until the last possible moment, then feels the need to say to Alice 'last one there's a rotten egg!' 😂 Bless them though. Day off for Moomins but I went up to see the boy after Saturday plans were rudely interrupted by the Dartford bridge getting closed 🤦🏻‍♀️ Finn's coming on so well. I still can't believe August is only the 5th month he's been home with me. It feels like years already. Being and to visit him in Wales definitely helped both of us I think. Despite being irritated by the flies he was a super boy having his feet picked up, and wasn't phased in the slightest by my chair antics. Him and his buddy's moved fields today so lots of grass to fill his belly with. I'm sure he'll look like a balloon tomorrow 😄 #CapestonFinalSpell #irishdraught #yearling

We ran! 🤣💪 What a super boy 💚 We came 5th, above the only other yearling. All the older, more established horses came above us. Disappointing placing but boy am I so pleased with Finn. He was absolutely foot perfect! After practicing our trot in hand twice in the week, he was spot on both times in the ring. I think I might need to get someone with longer legs to run him out next season 🤣 So so proud of him and his fabulous personality. Finn came to the big boy yard for a few days on Tuesday 🥰 He's off to a show at East Byshee on Sunday again, so wanted a bit of time to do some handling and build up our bond. He was a bit upset leaving his friends at the fields, but I thought having his old pal Stormzy there would make up for it ❤️ #CapestonFinalSpell

@robynkiteequineservices is crap at multitasking, so no video from our lessons BUT damn did this girly do well tonight ❤️💪 Definitely the best she's gone so far. Mary moo also had a good night with a little lesson with @robynkiteequineservices 💕 We're gently trying to build her strength and muscle back up, so today when she wasn't 100% comfortable in canter - we focused on trot 🙂 This is the first time Mary has done this many trot poles in a LONG time, it was also the first time we'd introduced 10m turns in and out of the poles. I was really pleased with how she felt coming up the poles. Even though we probably only do about 15/20 minutes of proper schooling, it's more than enough to get us both back into the swing of things - slowly but surely 🙂💜 #TheCobMary #veteranhorse #rehabhorse
