On February 13, 2025 our beautiful, smart, loving Misha crossed the Rainbow Bridge with the help Dr. O’Brien at Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic.

Misha was Grandmeowy’s cat. She chose her person and she let us all know. She was also Squeekers kitten. He taught her the rules of the house, and how to find the best place for sun beams. If Misha wasn’t with Grandmeowmy you just needed to look for Squeeker and there she would be cuddled in.

She ate breakfast every morning at the table with Grandmeowmy and would wit to eat until she arrived. Of course she would give her opinion on her tardiness. If you took her seat at the table she would stare you down until you moved, silently judging you. Misha was alway up for a game of cards and would chat while those at the table played. Some thought it was ridiculous that she has a chair and a bed on the table, but she wanted to be with Grandmeowmy and if that was in the kitchen she might as well be comfortable. Those of you who have been to our house know Misha was a princess and Grandmeowmy made sure she was treated like royalty.

Misha was so loyal to her person that she grieved Grandmeowmy’s passing until she left us. For 2 years she sat eating her breakfast with me, but she was waiting for her person to come for breakfast. She waited for the card game, the chair naps, and the chin rubs. She allowed me to do all those things with her but she made it clear I was not the same, and knowing how amazing Grandmeowmy was I agreed with her. We grieved together comforted by Squeeker who always seemed to know when we needed kisses and ear washes.

Misha did not put up with hijinx and made clear to Cordie and Tommy that she wasn’t putting up the them. She welcomed Gabby to the table and had a soft spot for Jasper, he was the only cat who she would give up her bed for and would sit with him watching the world go by.

If you ever needed proof that animals love , you only had to see Misha and Grandmeowmy reunited after 3 month apart.

Our home feels different, everyone has been taking turns sleeping in Misha’s comfy chair in the family room. I was worried about Squeeker but he understands she was sick and has dealt well with her absence. Gabby now looks for Calvin and Misha when she makes her rounds of the house.

Our hearts our broken, but we find comfort knowing Grandmeowmy and Misha are reunited and are having breakfast together and Story time with Jasper and Calvin.

Thank you to Kathryn Jane, Lynn Waters, The Cool Cat Ladies, Auntie Laurie, for your support during the last few months, and for loving Misha. Hugs to #1 Cat Boy from Oakley and Meadow TK who love Misha and read her stories when he visited.

There a things in life we can’t control, growing old is one of them. Misha is 15 years old now. This month we thought Misha may leave us to meet Grand Meowmy at the Rainbow Bridge, but with the help of our wonderful Vets at Scottsdale Veterinary Hospital she had decided to stay with us for a while longer. She has lost weight, but still enjoys her chicken and treats and a good nap in the big chair. She’s a Grand Old Lady and whether we get a week, months, or even a year we will love her and ensure she has quality of life.

Having a Vet you trust and cares for your pet as they do their own makes all the difference. Hug your fur babies tight.

Happy Holiday’s! This year whatever you celebrate, or if you don’t celebrate at all, we want to say thank you for continuing to follow us, and wish you Love and Light.

This is our first Christmas without Calvin and he is missed everyday. The Clowder has been extra loving with Gabby who lost her soulmate, and snuggle buddy. They have also been taking extra care with Meowmy.

What we do know is no matter who you are, feral cat , struggling human, or rich beyond words, the only thing that matters is Love.

Happy 15th Birthday Misha! There was tuna, cuddles, and loads of chin scritches. Misha still misses Grand Meowmy, (don’t we all) but has decided Meowmy will do in a pinch. ❤️🎉❤️

It’s been 16 weeks since Calvin left us for the Rainbow Bridge. It seems like yesterday yet a world away. He is missed by all of us. Thank you for all of your beautiful words, we felt your love and it has helped more than you know.

So much has happened in the last 16 weeks, tears, laughter, joy and sadness. Squeeker’s Adoptaversary in May, then he turned 18 in July, The anniversary of Gabby and Cordie arriving at TK after being rescued by Auntie Dee, Jasper and Monkey’s gotcha day, and the 2nd anniversary of Jasper’s passing, and Tommy’s 8th anniversary as a house cat, and so many other things. Thank you for patiently waiting for us to return. We were gifted these beautiful Kathryn Jane paintings of Calvin. We hope they bring you as much joy as they have brought us.

I have tried to write this several times and there is no easy way to tell you all.

On Wednesday morning April 24 th Calvin came into my office, trilled at me as he does when something is not right. He trilled again and I stood up to follow Calvin, he then had a seizure, flipped over and was still. I picked him up, wrapped him in a blanket, gave him some of Squeekers pain meds and called the vet to say we were on our way, when I realized he was gone.

The night before Tommy and Calvin had been playing and his cute tail was standing straight up and quivering, 2 hours before I had watched him clean Gabby’s ears and play with her.

Everyone was able to say their goodbyes and Gabby licked his ears, nudged him twice and looked at me as if to say I understand. She does cry for him at 8 pm every night. That’s story time and all the cats come to the big room. Tommy still looks behind him when he jumps to the window, waiting for his BFF to follow, and I am always looking for his amazing tail to go by.

Calvin was met at the Rainbow Bridge by many Happy Forest cats, Jasper, and Grandmeowmy with her Cats 6 book and a cozy green blanket.

The Vet believes it was a blood clot, that it was fast and he didn’t suffer.

I can’t put into words how much he was loved and how much he is missed. I am still in shock. Please hug your furbabies tight.

7 years ago Calvin walked into his carrier, snuggled in with Sailor Kitty and his Red Dragon to start his new life with us. Happy “Gotcha Day” Calvy. You have changed our world and filled it with Love, Laughter, and so much Joy. Enjoy your sunbeam today ❤️
