Many dog owners will remember me from my years working in the Veterinary profession, and after repeated requests from dog owners and friends here I am back in the dog world again doing the things I love most. My aim is to provide a service which is a one 2 one structured walk or for multiple dog households a family walk.I do not meet up with other walkers to combine dogs, your dog has the full hou

r of my attention that you pay for. Wispa Walks is the sole business to provide their very own concept of the Shared Care holiday scheme. This scheme, along with regular house/pet sitting books up very fast so please call, text or message as soon as you know dates for holidays to enable me to book you in for a chat and to meet the family, including the pets of course.

Reddington and Lola have become so close and always insist on sharing a crate, he has to be dropped home first otherwise he cries when she goes home!! Today the plan was for them to have a run in the paddock but the rabbits had been there overnight so it was just a sniffing marathon instead. I love the way they never move more than a few feet from each other even though the paddock is so spacious :-)

I haven't posted anything for some time, but I wanted to let all of Wizard's friends and fans know that he passed away peacefully in his garden on Wednesday afternoon. He has been my right hand dog since I started the business. Every dog has taken their first walk with us, with Wizard by their side. He has mentored and helped socialize all the pups, teaching them to be brave and confident and taught the reactive dogs a different, calmer way to behave. He has welcomed them into our home and shared toys beds etc so naturally. He didn't have a bad bone in him and loved everybody he met. The last two days the van has been a horrible silent place as all of his pack have realised he's gone. I'm lost without him, thank you to all my lovely clients who totally understand. I'd like to publicly thank Ali from Jersey Rescue Dogs for rescuing him and for letting us adopt him. Also his lovely foster mums who showed him how good life could be. Huge thanks to Paul the vet, who came to us and so kindly helped Wizard on his path to the bridge, and Sarah Watts for organising things for me. Lastly a massive thanks to Hugh and Lara from Willow tree pet cremation, who took him on his final journey with all the dignity and compassion he deserved. He's left a massive hole but we've been so blessed to share his life. Goodbye my beautiful old boy, you waved the flag for lurchers, and were loved so much ### A few pictures of him in his favourite places.

We are trialling some new poo bags!! They are made from corn starch and completely bio degradable. They may look like they are radioactive but at least I'll find them if they blow away in this wind.

I'm posting today to give everyone plenty of notice. Having looked at the weather prediction for next week, I'm cancelling all walks on Monday and Tuesday. At the moment,I'm starting walking at 6.30 and still struggling to get the dogs back home before the temperature rises to a worrying level. I love my little furry friends and I will not put them at risk. Home in the cool is the best place for them until the temperature drops. I'll text everyone I haven't yet spoken to, and keep my fingers crossed for cooler weather at the end of next week. Take care everyone and stay cool x

In view of the extreme heat being forecast for this week, there will be some changes to our normal routine. We're lucky enough to have a shady area to do a short walk in but it will be too hot to have dogs in the van for any length of time. This includes travelling to collect and return home. Therefore we will collect the dogs as early as possible, like we do now, but they will then get a very short walk and be taken home asap. The safety and welfare of all our dogs is a priority and in this forecasted heat I will not risk their health. Please ring or text me if you have any concerns.
