In Portuguese shelters, senior dogs are often overlooked. Many struggle to adjust, missing the comfort they once had. Some are abandoned hunting or breeding dogs, but most were once beloved pets whose owners have passed away. Their chances of adoption are almost zero.⁠

That’s where Project Senior by Perro & Co steps in. 🏡✨⁠
This initiative finds loving forever foster homes for these golden oldies, where they can comfortably enjoy their final years. Since medical costs can be a concern, sponsors help cover expenses like vet care, medication, and food. This way, those who have space in their home but not in their budget can still provide a loving retirement. 💕⁠

Senior dogs are often forgotten in Portuguese shelters. Their chances of adoption are slim, and many struggle with shelter life. But thanks to Project Senior, these wonderful dogs can live out their golden years in loving forever foster homes, supported by generous sponsors who help cover the costs of their care.

Take Bellini, for example. After losing his owner, he was left in a shelter with little hope for adoption. But everything changed when a forever foster family in the Netherlands welcomed him with open arms. Despite his age, 14 years, Bellini has rediscovered his zest for life, enjoying long nature walks, attending mantrailing classes, and solving sniffle puzzles every day. 🐶✨
