Our mission is to reduce the amount of stray cats and dogs on the islands of Cabo Verde. Help us to help them and give them the opportunity to have a good life as serene and healthy! The lack of funds and veterinary help the authorities used to resort to cruel methods like poisoning the
stray dogs and cats with strychnine. To prevent this the city hall was presented with the only humane and scientifically effective proven method to control the amount of strays. The neutering and treatment campaigns were started on the island of Sal several years ago with the he Noah Kreta and. V. / Tierärztepool and their team of highly skilled veterinarians. These clinics have been completely free of charge to the local people. In addition, the veterinarians treat all neutered animals against infestations of fleas and ticks, against intestinal worms infection and against skin diseases like mange. We also educate the local people about responsible pet ownership. In addition, we also lobby for animal rights in Cabo Verde and worldwide. Per controllare il numero di animali a Sal senza ricorrere a crudeli uccisioni è stata presentata alle autorità l’unica soluzione reale: le campagne di sterilizzazione.Mediante l’associazione tedesca Förderverein Arche Noah Kreta e. V. / Tierärztepool e ai loro team di veterinari altamente specializzati, aiutiamo ad organizzare campagne di sterilizzazione e trattamento, che sono completamente gratuite per la popolazione di Sal. I veterinari inoltre trattano tutti gli animali sterilizzati contro le infestazioni di pulci e zecche, contro le infezioni intestinali da vermi e contro le malattie della pelle come la rogna. Questi trattamenti, sempre gratuiti per la popolazione, migliorano la coabitazione fra animali e i loro proprietari e ci aiutano a fare delle campagne anche un momen to di incontro per aiutare la popolazione ad avere cura e rispetto per i cani e i gatti. Facciamo inoltre lobby per I diritti degli animali e servizio informazioni sulla gestione responsabile e sulle cure per i propri cani e gatti.
