Here at “If Wishes Were Horses” we are training primarily therapy horses. But this also puts a great foundation under them for any discipline. We use the Safe-T training method, a program that we developed. We also do selective breeding for traits that the horse will need to be successful with this method.

Dog owners: The Henry Wrinkles Foundation will have a few openings for male dog neuters at the spay/neuter upcoming clinics. Slots are limited. Fees for MALE DOG neuters are based on weight: MALE dog up to 25 pounds $60; MALE dogs weighing 26-60 pounds $80. An additional fee of $10 will be charged if you cannot provide proof of current rabies vaccination. Dogs will be weighed before surgery when you bring HIM in the day of surgery. If you paid for a dog weighing less than 25 pounds and it is heavier the higher fee will be due before surgery. The clinic does not have the facilities for dogs larger than 60 pounds.

Fees must be paid in cash at the time of registration at Henry's 2nd Chance Store (where highway 69 meets the 412 by pass in Paragould AR) to reserve a slot. No registrations will be accepted by phone nor online. Animals must be registered before the day of the appointment to reserve a slot.

No vicious dogs allowed.

Our Story

We specialize in breeding Foundation Appaloosas and Missouri Foxtrotters. Our horses are perfect for the trail, equine therapy sessions, or the show ring.

Our name comes from a 16th century English proverb and nursery rhyme, whose meaning is, "Simply wishing for something is not sufficient to make it happen, action is required as well".

We pride ourselves with being the premier producer of Equine Therapy and Trail Riding Horses. Our team has developed a customized training program to produce different levels of therapy and trail horses. These levels include Hippotherapy, Equine Psychotherapy, Therapeutic Riding, and Trail Riding. We assess our horses in personality and performance to make sure they are being trained to their full potential. Our team will also assess outside horses for potential use in equine therapy activities. If assessment criteria is met, we then develop and train the potential horse for use in a therapy center.

Our stallions and broodmares are assessed in their potential to produce outstanding offspring. We evaluate our heard for courage, energy level, temperament, conformation, gait, and color.
