It was my 11th birthday today. I went to the vet two weeks ago and they said my heart sounded healthy and I have a good range of movement in my joints 😃

Sorry that we have been less active. Kirsty swapped to a dumb phone (rather than a smart phone) so we have had fewer photo opportunities, but we are both well 😃

I went to Central Beach Cafe for a sausage & woofin, Pets Unleashed Lytham for some treats, and I also went to a craft fair but forgot to take a photo 😕

The problem with having wonky eyes is that it can be difficult for people to tell whether I’m giving them the side eye or not. In this instance I am absolutely giving Kirsty the side eye. I’ve just been forcibly bathed and left smelling like a flipping flower 😤

Hi friends,

Sorry I haven’t been posting. Kirsty deleted most social media apps from her phone, so she hasn’t been thinking about it much and forgot to post. But I’m still alive and kicking 😛

I have been playing with my shape sorter more often recently. It might be time for a new video of it 😆

Cooper and I have had this account for several years now, and we’ve kept all of the posts lighthearted. But in reality, things were rough for a while there. I suffered a mental breakdown, was diagnosed with ASD (which I believe was a misdiagnosis), and struggled on a daily basis. I was sad, angry, and hated myself.

At times, I would cry or scream and Cooper would either shake in fear from the loud sounds, or jump at me to try to calm me down. I think some of my anxiety also rubbed off on him. He forgot how to enjoy his walks and became more reluctant to go to new places.

But through lots of hard work, I’ve healed myself. Cooper is never scared of me now, has learned to enjoy his walks again, and has even started taking me on magical mystery tours of the town we live in! I also notice a difference with how he interacts with other dogs; he seems more confident and playful - even though he’s almost 9 now!

I’m so glad Cooper lived for long enough to see me become happy 😍 I couldn’t have chosen a better partner for this transformative time in my life. To be clear, he’s still alive and is very healthy. I’m just saying that I’m glad he didn’t die before I managed to become happy!

Thank you for all of your support over the years. Please be kind to your favorite dog accounts. There’s a human behind the account and you don’t know what they’re going through 💕

On my walk today, a tiny human pointed at me and said, “cat!” He’s not wrong. That’s my true essence. This boy’s sweet mind has not yet been corrupted by “school” and he’s able to see me for what I really am 😍😺

Good news: I saw the vet last week and I’m not overweight (Kirsty thought I was). My eyes, ears, and heart also look and sound good 😃

A woman in the waiting room thought I was a puppy (I’ll be 9 this year). I think she might have been trying to flatter me, but I’ll take it 😆

I got a new toy to replace the white dog I ripped the nose off of! 🙈 It’s an IKEA GOSIG GOLDEN. So far I mostly like using it as a pillow 😆

Kirsty has been taking me on a few longer walks recently. A couple of days ago, we walked about 3 miles (round trip) to a nearby lake and back. This photo was taken right before I was given the end of Kirsty’s ice cream cone 😃

I always throw a tantrum and dig my heels into the ground when I realize she’s dragging me on a long walk, but I have fun once I get into it 😂

Kirsty keeps spending too much time with the dumbbells, so I decided to become a dumbbell so that she will pay more attention to me 😤

(I’m mostly joking; I still get plenty of attention 😆)

Fun story: before she got heavier dumbbells, she did actually use me as a dumbbell 🙄😂
