Kiri is back home and is recovering.

Kiri is at the vet. I took her because she was gaining weight and then this week she was not as interested in food. Turns out she has Pyrometra. She had a successful surgery and is resting at the vet.

Unfortunately Kiri is not pregnant. I will not be breeding her again. I plan to breed her daughter, Una, next year.

Good news this morning! You wouldn't think I would be happy about peeing but King is now doing it normally. The vet is very happy with what they are seeing and will let me pick him up tomorrow.

King is still having difficulties urinating. So he will be staying at the vet, possibly over Christmas weekend.

Looks like this year is not finished with us. Ebop has cancer in her right back leg. It is not bothering her at the moment. She will be approximately 16 years of age at the end of the month and I decided not to put her through any chemo or operation. Only when she is not comfortable and cannot move about easily will I have to make the final decision.

King is still at the vet. The operation was successful but he had inflammation which caused him not to be able to urinate. He is now urinating normally but the vet wants to keep him over the weekend. Hopefully, he will be back home next week.

Unfortunately, King is still having trouble urinating. So he is going under the knife today to get the stones out.

Had to take King to the vet this afternoon. I became concerned last night. He didn't seem to be acting normal. I figured out the problem today when I noticed he was trying to urinate and hardly anything was coming out. So he is staying overnight at the vet.

I have decided this litter will be my "N" litter. I use Zande words in the registered name and it so happens that Ngumo in Zande means zigzag. So in honor of the sire Ziggy I will be using words starting with N in the Zande language. Since I already have King (Bakindo), I will be using Nakindo.

These two I plan to use...

Thanks to Jean Martin for letting Ziggy move to Colorado as a baby. He handled the airplane ride (including delays in Chicago) like a pro. He is a tail wagging, fun loving guy and we are so happy to have him at SkyHi.
