Hamilton likes to stick to his routine—he meets us at the door with a few loud meows and heads straight to the kitchen for his meal. Once he’s eaten, he’s ready for cuddles and ear scritches, and we’re always happy to give him the attention he wants.

Meet Haylee, one of our Pet Care Professionals! She brings over a decade of experience, including five years at an animal hospital and five more as a trusted dog walker and sitter (even voted a Nextdoor favorite!). She’s especially skilled with special needs pets, leash-reactive pups, and giving every animal the care and comfort they deserve. At home, she’s kept on her toes by her wild and wonderful buff tabby, Gale.

Mr. Boots is a high-energy kitty keeps us on our toes—leaping, playing, and proudly claiming the counters. He’s a big fan of head, cheek, and neck scratches, and once the kitty chores are done, we make sure there’s plenty of time for love and attention. He’s a joy to care for!

Meet Lily! She’s part of a puppy trio but prefers her own space away from her brother Crom. Lily loves a good game of tug & sometimes gets the zoomies followed by a well-earned nap. Since she can be a bit anxious, we use our Fear Free techniques to help her feel comfortable. And because walks aren’t her thing, backyard time is our jam.

His start in life may not have been easy, but his family has shared helpful insights so we can make every visit stress-free. Keeva is over 14 years old and in great shape! She usually takes it slowly in the summer heat, but every now and then she’s waiting at the door, ready to go. Her hearing isn’t what it used to be, so we clap and call when we enter. We’re always happy to match her pace and energy—whatever kind of day she’s having.

Autumn joined us in 2024, working with our Alexandria City clients inside the beltway. With over 3 years of experience as a veterinary assistant and nearly 10 years caring for horses and providing riding lessons, Autumn brings a wealth of animal care knowledge. She has owned rabbits, guinea pigs, and ferrets, and holds an Associate’s degree in liberal arts while currently working toward a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Meet Dallas (left) and Buckley (right)! Buckley is full of energy and once he warms up, he’s all about fetch, tug-of-war, and chasing games (especially with his sister). Dallas, on the other hand, is a chill 6-year-old who loves snuggles and downtime but will happily join in the fun when she’s feeling spunky. Together, they’re the perfect pair and we’re always happy to get them out for walks and playtime!

Welcome Charlie and Sadie to the Alexandria Pet Care family! Charlie is calm and easygoing, currently undergoing chemo, and we’re mindful to follow his routine closely—he loves his ribbons, yeow buds, and a little treat crumble on his scratching board. Sadie is shy at first, but a soft “brush brush” usually brings her out for lap time and a good grooming. We’re honored to care for them both!

Agnes is a smart, playful girl who knows how to ask for her brushing time, and has a soft spot for toys—especially her robot laser, feathers, and anything that rolls. She will occasionally drop something from above if she’s feeling irritable.
